I realize they are tired after the travel and all, but letting Lugo swing the bat here scores a -14 on the "Doing s*** that Makes Sense Scale". Not to mention we faced their top 2 pitchers 4 times with our ace accumulating rust.

 

I never gave the Yankees a hard time about opening the season out West. I've made the trip from the East Coast to Hawaii, and Hawaii to Japan about 8 times. I know what a pain in the ass it is to adjust to 6 and 7 hour time changes. It takes over a week for your body to adjust, and that is if you are really trying to get it to do that. I hope this series over there was the last series over there.

it took a month before we got back to normal. That season, you guys started poorly too. Once we kicked it up, we were solid until the end of the yr.

Plus Beckett did have to throw more than he had to while working around 3 errors. Considering this is the first time he has faced major league hitters (college, minor league teams in ST), he wasnt that bad at all.
