The spots radio station down here is reporting the Patriots are close to signing Moss to a 3 year deal $30 million. I've searched everywhere, and can't find anything that backs that up. Of course, this IS Texas, so what does anyone down here know.

Anyone have information on the deal?

he pulled a claude rains in the playoffs

and not for nothing but brady hasnt had a good playoff game since that saturday nite in denver and he wont ever have the weapons he had like this year again.

now

that doesnt mean another year together wont bring some better timing between the 2 men but what more could we possibly expect during the season?

rarely does a wideout come onto the scene and have a year like moss has and if he gets a long term deal and is happy he should approach record #s again.

however i would like more out of him in the playoffs..

18-1 and i am disappointed

this is what too much success does for you as well...

All is not lost if he doesn't resign with the Pats though, Isaac Bruce was let go by the Rams. I don't expect he will be on the FA market very long.

They aren't close right now but I have alot of faith that after last season Moss will be back in A New England uniform next season.

I don't blame Moss for not being close. If I had just set the single-season touchdown record and was one of, if not the top, the reasons for being a part of the highest-scoring offense in NFL history, I would probably wait to see what type of money was thrown my way too. I think he'll end up back with the Pats, but I wouldn't be surprised if the money is what's making his decision right now.

Apparently he and Culpepper have been talking and will look for a team to sign them both.

The pats penny-pinching may finally bite them in the ass.

My guess is he took his paycut to build value this year for a big payday. We'll see what happens, but I wouldn't be shocked at all to see him somewhere else next season.

Me neither at this point. The season he just had will probably end up being the best of his career. It would make no sense if he didn't completely cash-in.

Your guess seems pretty reasonable. Maybe Moss is a smarter guy than we give him credit for... take a paycut to play with the Patriots, have a monster year on a team loaded with weapons, perhaps win a Super Bowl along the way, and then make a gigantic splash in the free agent pool. Seems pretty logical.

I think the Patriots are idiots if they let the guy go. That would be like the Yankees deciding to let Arod go after last year. Except imagine Arod hitting 75 homers.

Moss will be with the pats next year. I think the pats came out with their offer, and Moss decided to see what was on the table in FA before deciding. I think the Pats won't pay him huge money, but they will pay him more than normal for them. They have shown to do this with several key players like Brady, Seymore, ect... I expect a deal in the next day or so.

When I heard that rumor, I had a feeling he was close to signing with the Pats. Seriously...

Moss is great, he's proven he can still play, but Culpepper???

good move for the Pats at a good cost ($9 mil per avg). If they had slapped the franchise tag on him it would have cost the Pats about $7.8 Mil for next season. Reaching this deal deservedly rewards Moss for his accomplishments last year and assures Brady he has his number one receiver back for next season.

moss deserved a big check for his year but lets not suck each other dicks just yet.

gay is gone

samuel is gone

colvin is gone(for the time being)

i think the pats need to address a lot of the issues on defense and i know the pats need to run the football more consistantly or tom brady will be in traction come october.

do we think that randy moss finally gets it?

i do

but i was disappointed in his playoff performance.

moroney was decent down the stretch but they will need a guy who can carry the ball 275 times.

Was that an entire sentence? Did you intend to place a comma after the word "yet" in the first sentence instead of a period?
