  1. Gotta go with number 10, and then modify it, you know, just to add a little of my own personality:
  2. I heard they were trading Shockey. I dunno... I'm happy with the Pats picks, I guess... I used to get into the draft, but the truth is, you just never know. I won't really get into football until the first game of the regular season starts. I'm pretty much into this baseball thing for now! hahahaha.
  3. I think the main point of that pick was to (of course) get younger, but more importantly, it allows Thomas to move to OLB, where he's a LOT better than ILB, where he played for most of last season. I like the pick. Everyone seems to think we need a CB, and I'm not saying we don't, but lets not forget we won a Super Bowl with Troy Brown at CB. I think it's the scheme more than the players when it comes to the secondary. This draft has a LOT of good CBs, lots of depth. It's so hit or miss... We got an additional 3rd in the trade with NO, so I think we go after the CBS in the 2nd or 3rd rounds.
  4. Well, if they already signed him, then why would they DRAFT him??? With Jake Long signed, The Dolphins take Matt Ryan 1st overall selection! hahahaha.
  5. +1. The local broadcast down here in Texas blacked out too, in the 8th inning. I had to listen to JD Drew's at bat on the radio, but it was back on shortly thereafter. Text message from my buddy, the only true rangers and baseball fan I know of in Texas: The Rangers bullpen is ********!!! Oh, he's mad. I've got to go talk him off the ledge now, excuse me.
  6. Well, it certainly doesn't HURT anything... Maybe I'm just weird, but I've always preferred looking at women than men... Oh wait, weird wasn't the word I was looking for, HETERO, yes hetero is the word I'm looking for.
  7. ah but the damage is done. There are also gangsters buried under giants stadium....
  8. Worker tries to jinx Yanks with buried Red Sox shirt
  9. Fixed that for ya!
  10. +1  So many yanks fans... I can't decide if we should question the Red Sox fan for putting up with the yanks, or the yankee fans for joining a red sox board and expecting any level of respect....
  11. This makes my tennis pants go crazy.... That's all I've got.... Tennis is a great game, lots of fun to play, but I can't really watch the mens games. WOMEN, on the other hand, I have no problem with watching! Australian open finals were a dream come true!
  12. Gotta love it.... The Mitchell report comes out, and something strange happened. Also strange that the team he came from (Rangers) had more people on that particular report that any other team (in total, not active)... Cue the twilight zone music (and/or Benny Hill, if we're still discussing the Rangers)....
  13. Whoa, what the hell??? I hit post quick reply once, it took a minute to load the page, and now it's posted 12 times. That's some ********. Sorry guys, guess my computer's f-ed.
  14. Middle school??? Damnit!!! I was hoping it was some hot chick and the hawk, I dunno, ripped off her shirt or something....

  16. It's VERY WELL documented that the Green Monstah used to be the biggest problem facing the Sox. We always wanted that power right hander and it never got us anywhere until the day we realized pitching is kind of important. Yeah, I read the comment about the 0-2 shoulder high fastball... Fine, I'll admit I've called that once or twice myself, but still, how did the count get to 0-2 and are you THAT worried about someone crushing an 0-2 shoulder high fastball? And it's not like EVERY time the count's 0-2 he calls for it up high. Either way, 0-2 is a good count for a ball, and see if they chase. What Tek does for pitchers can't be questioned, in my mind. You'll have to really work hard to convince me he's not the best on the game as far as working with the pitching staff to put them in the best position to succeed. The offense isn't always going to be there, every team and every player has slumps, and I'm glad we have Tek behind the plate to make sure our pitching staff doesn't get clobbered. Give me a 1-0 game any day, and Tek's the guy I want calling that game.
  17. I disagree... having a split second to decide if it's a 95-mph fastball or a 80s-mph change up (nevermind if it's a ball or a strike) is the toughest thing to do in sports. hahahahaha. IMHO BUT, I would like to add, my sports pants have been going crazy lately. I can only give limited information, because I don't want to jinx it... BUT, is there any combination of teams in the east (perhaps one from Boston), and the west (perhaps one from California) that might bring back memories of old, were they to meet in the NBA Finals??? Just saying....
  18. Well, it's not the same as Fenway, which I was lucky enough to go to countless times while living in New England with my Grandfather... BUT, my little sister is apparently a die hard Sox fan now. I think my mom told her how big a fan my grandfather was, and she followed suit. I'll give her a pass on this one... She turns 16 in October, but girls generally don't know any better when it comes to sports. I will be attending all 3 Sox games when they play the (st)Rangers this year (as I always do, last year they were in town twice, which was greatness). She will be going with me and my buddies to the Saturday game as an early birthday present. It's really a shame... The first Sox game should ALWAYS be in Fenway. Fenway is magical. I have to tell the truth, the Ballpark in Arlington is much NICER, but that's to be expected when comparing a 1990s stadium to a 1912 stadium. But Fenway is absolutely MAGICAL!!! Just the Green Monstah is worth the trip by it's self. I ask for forgiveness from fellow Sox fans. I have let my little sister down due to a limited budget, and she will have to see the Sox for the first time in an inferior setting and an inferior situation (the fans at the ballpark in arlington are a joke, especially if you're going to do something as stupid as comparing them to the fans of Fenway).
  19. I hate those articles. I read it on ESPN earlier. Just enough is said to make you worry, nothing at all is said to make you feel better.
  20. They couldn't leave the free throw off???? geech... What a bad ending to a great clip.
  21. 'preciate ya, pal!
  22. I can't find the answer to my question anywhere, so what the hell, I'll post it here: What was the deadline for signing free agents and having them eligible for the playoffs? If I'm not mistaken, you can sign free agents throughout the year, but if they aren't signed by such and such date, they can't play in the playoffs for you. Reason I ask, Sam Cassell.... I think that deadline was March 1st, which would mean he's not eligible for the playoffs. But I have to be honest, basketball is only my 3rd favorite sport, and only because hockey declined to boycott status after the strike, so I'm not as good with the little rules.
