Thus far it has been a demoralizing ass kicking for the hottest team in baseball-- the team of Destiny. It's a cold slap of reality to team from the Rockies.

If we go up 2-0 and really beat these guys up - I would rather have Papi sit in Denver.
He can sit game if we go up 3-0, but we are really getting ahead of ourselves.

Yes, that would be the move. This game is in the left hand column, and Francona has to think ahead. You can't take these guys for granted just because they are getting bitch slapped in one game. They could take the next two. Also, there have been a few very long innings and beckett could be getting stiff.

I think with the weather, we should be thinking of subs now....I wouldn't want to see any unnecessary injuries with the way they are all swinging the bats

excellent points. this is a blessing Tito should use. also, you gotta factor in the injury concerns that happen with pitchers in the rain

Embarising for the Rockies.....but to bad.

 

I really do hate seeing the Rockies get slapped around so bad... but I couldn't be happier with the way this Red Sox team is playing.
