What is he hitting since the middle of June?

I can't get on baseball-reference.com, but I thought I heard NESN say .289...could that be right?

At least the O's at bat is over!

I apprecaite that you answered the question instead of responding with an irrelevant fact like the response from another poster. Thank you. While his current average is .289, I think he is hitting below .2650 since the middle of June, but I don't know the exact figure.

It's not irrelevant... everybody on this forum knows why you brought it up. You know damn well you could find that stat for yourself.

I'd just appreciate the stat, and please get out of my head.

This offense heading into September is almost like the one that ended the 06 season. As well as in 06 the injuries started to come in droves. Manny out indefinitely, Wakefield will miss 1 or 2 starts, Drew, Kielty is banged up, the jury is out on Pedroia who rolled over on his wrist and Coco after banging into the wall

At least the Yankers are losing...but what does it mean when the D-Rays are pounding the Yanks 7-1 after we got swept?
I don't think we should draw too many conclusions from that. The lees than impressive Hughes was pitching tonight and the Yanks offense had a let down after a very important series against the Red Sox.

The offense needs to step it up the next two days, because I don't expect Lester and Bucholz to give us shut down pitching. I don't know who will step up. We've got two good hitters in our lineup-- Ortiz and Lowell.

I am praying for a midnight waiver move.

We're horrible right now. I could see us not making the playoffs easily. Our lineup is pretty awful, and our "best" pitchers just got man-handled in new york and our hottest pitcher is down with back cramps...

9 - 3? To the Orioles? Jesus. Anybody miss Bill Mueller and OC and Bellhorn right now? I kinda do... Not saying keeping those guys was the answer, just trying to point out how hard it is to find the guys who get going when the going gets tough...
