Schilling will be activated off of the DL tomorrow. With Javier Lopez being their lefty specialist, I dont see him being moved down (even tho he has options). I see them either placing Timlin back on the DL, or placing Snyder on waivers

as for lopez being back for the yanks series, i think the sox should put him on the waiver wire and see if he passes through (he probably wouldn't but its worth a shot, theres tons of teams looking for a #5 starter, just look at pinerio and st louis)

Lopez has actually been better against righties this year, but I agree that the proper move should have been a DFA for either Snyder or Timlin.

 

Lopez's ability to get the ground ball is very valuable, but this move really isn't that big of a deal. Lopez will be back in three weeks.
