Good for WMP. I like the idea of WMP, a guy who's bigger than Papi, who hits the ball farther than Papi, at such a young age. Too bad the idea and the product often don't jive.

At this point, these guys are showcasing to the RED SOX. Who the hell would want to get traded from this club to a team like Texas or the Dodgers or the White Sox?

 

WMP may want more playing time, but he seems to enjoy himself in a Sox uniform and with this team.

What do you base your opinion on, and which team are you talking about when you say #2? Which pitchers on, say, the Rangers or Royals would you say are unequivocably better than Lester?

 

If Gabbard's trade value took a hit tonight then you're speaking of the mind of a GM who's thoughts go whichever way the wind blows. Not the quality of a good GM. In fact, not the quality of ANYONE qualified to be GM. There aren't GMs like that, which means that his trade value does NOT go the ways of the winds.

 

His value wasn't that high or that low. He was of decent value and still is.

 

Well we both know the Royals and Rangers don't have any pitching. He'd be a number two at either of those places, but still wouldn't be better than a number 2 on half of mlb pitching staffs.
