HAPPY 2-YEAR ANNIVERSARY, THREE WIFE FOULKERS! We haven't really made the presence felt, but we're not-to-be-forgotten! To see the formation of the Three Wife Foulkers, go to the July 4th gamethread from 2005.

Holy s***, sorry I'm starting this so late. I didn't even realize the game was at 1. I wanted to sleep in too. Oh well, I'm up. Anyway, stellar pitching from Dice-K once again. He seems to really be coming into his own. After winning last night's game, a sweep is definitely within reach. Keep the offense going...hopefully Ortiz and Manny will get out of their funks somehow, and Lugo will continue to get some hits. Go Sox...WIN! And oh, Edwin Jackson's a joke. He was supposed to be something special, but coughed up a big one.

Game Info:

Date: Wednesday, July 4th, 2007

Teams: Tampa Bay Devil Rays (33-49) @ Boston Red Sox (51-31)

First Pitch: 1:05pm EDT

Venue: Fenway Park, Boston, Massachusetts

TV: NESN

Mojo of the day:

The Sox got enough from their mojo to beat Kazmir last night. Let's hope Austin can inspire them again...

3 minutes is pushing it. I'm amazed you got it together so fast.

I'm a stud...what can I say?

Haha, Ellsbury batting 7th looks so damn weird. So does Drew hitting 4th.

Luckily we're going up against a s*** pitcher so runs shouldn't be that hard to get...but you never know with this offense. Luckily, we have a very nice bench today if we need something late. :D

I did sleep in and I woke up 3 hours ago. You must be a whipper-snapper. :harhar:

Coco with the leadoff triple!

Nice bunt for Cora getting it down the first base line. 1-0 Sox.

CF just become an exciting position to watch over. Coco's resurgence and Ellsbury coming up.

why the sac bunt there? this pitcher sucks we should be swinging away and not giving outs by bunting
He dragged the bunt going for the base hit. It was not a sacrifice or a squezze play.

"Who the hell is Karim Garcia? Huh? Who is he? I'm Pedro f***in 'Martinez. I ain't goin' after his head." - Pedro Martinez (he said something like that)

Damn Ellsbury is fast....

I hate f***ing Doug Mirabelli.....

I'll take someone who drops a few knucklers but looks coherant at the plate....

Isnt dougie around to block the balls? What other purpose does he serve... I know im being hard on him but im tired of waisting a roster spot on him...

Next year move Wake to the pen, dump Mirabelli and start Buchholz. Either call up Kottaras or sign someone cheap.

Am I the only one who remembers April of 2006? It was a nightmare. Plus Wake has said he won't pitch unless Mirabelli catches him.

He hasn't hit for s*** and he's excruciating to watch at the plate. But as long as we have Wake, we'll have Dougie.

If Coco stays hot, they should trade Ellsbury for Salty, platoon him with Tek for '08, and move Wake to the pen like you said.
