Well thanks' date=' that stat has already been posted on this board, and some updates are too obvious to even re-post[/quote']

ah sorry. Just reposted for emphasis. It might be time to see what WMP can do. Drew and Crisp have been something else. I'd turn WMP into a regular and use Crisp to spell Drew against lefties and see who heats up. There really is no reason that WMP is staying on the bench to watch this shitshow.

Hurdle is playing like this is a one-run game. Quick bullpen changes' date=' and now having Tulowitzki bunting to move the runners over to 2nd & 3rd[/quote']

I've always said that Hurdle is an underrated manager. He's just dealt with really s***** pitching.

Beckett has had a lot more to do with them losing tonight.

PS Lugo's been on base twice.

Kilo, right you are. I'm going to do something I haven't done in awhile and had when I was down. I'm going to watch the movie "It's a Mad Mad Mad Mad World". It has always made me laugh in the past and hopefully it will now. Nothing we can do but chill out and hope for better things tomorrow. Things have got to start getting better for us.

you still have a 7 game lead if you lose tonight. I dont think things are as bad as they seem.

Agree 100 %. Crisp still has his job today because of his great defense. Wily Mo even with the occasional brain fart in the field is more of a given to make some solid contact with his bat

EDIT:

Don: The Sox struggle offensively again, even though they did bang ou 10 hits

Be that as it may. All 10 hits were singles, Don.

A 2004 type trade might be needed to slap this team into reality

Agreed. But still... right now, it's not looking pretty. It has as much to do with the Yankees being on a tear as it is the Red Sox struggling. If it was just our offense struggling it wouldn't be the worst thing in the world... but we have three black holes in our lineup and none of them have shown any signs of progress.

I'm trying to look on the bright side. The Yankees have played maybe the best baseball they've played since May of last year in terms of a winning streak if I'm not mistaken and we've played, very easily, the worst baseball we've played all year and the Red Sox are still 7 games up.

Could be better, but it could be a lot worse.

It's going to get a lot worse unless we straighten things out. I have another suggestion to make, one that still is meeting with great resistance from most of the crew here. Bring up Jacoby Ellsbury right away and install him in the leadoff position and be done with it. The guy is talented enough and resourceful enough and intelligent enough to learn on the job and give us the spark and enery we need very badly right now. I think Tito was trying to inject some spark into the lineup tonight but it didn't work as he wanted. The fact is we need a leadoff man and we don't have one now. It is also mandatory we get Crisp out of the lineup and Drew and Lugo hitting.

Jacoby Ellsbury my friend. Jacoby Ellsbury. Bring the kid up and no more ******** talk about his not being ready. He is more ready to hit and run and field for us than Crisp or Lugo or Drew seem to be at the present time. What a bummer from where I sit because I was one of the loudest supporters of the signing of these two players. God, I hope they can turn it around.

"They're getting on all of us -- me, J.D., and [Julio] Lugo, Youkilis a little bit, too," Crisp said. "I don't know, they're fans. They're allowed to do that.

I couldnt help but copy and pase this. Its hard for me to believe that Sox fans would be booing Youkilis with the season he's having... on that note doesnt crisp know by now the Yooouk chants?

Also in this article, its saying so far Drew will lead off tonight. This offense will be matched up against some good pitchers within the next week or so

Giants

Tavarez vs Zito

Matsuzaka vs Cain

Wakefield vs Morris

Braves
