You know I?m trying to give Schilling a chance here but hes making it very hard. How the hell do you almost get a no hitter, thenh give up all those runs to the Rockies? I mean ya they actually might have a better lineup the the A's but c'mon Schilling how about a little consistency. I for one am glad and have stated before that the FO balked at giving him an extension. The only problem this makes is that some dumass national league club is going to offer him 2yrs 28M plus more then likely. But after last nights game I'm not sure hes worth the 13M hes getting this yr and wanted for next yr. He needs to get his s*** together and focus on pitching better every game out not 1 out of every 3. Maybe a little less time Blogging and a little more time working on something to do with pitching is what he needs.

Sorry for the vent but I needed it LOL:thumbsup:

I called spam for a sec, then I saw it was a regular poster and thought it was some 38 pizzas for only one dollar deal or something like that.

I'd LOVE 38 pizzas for one dollar. Papa Johns' date=' specialty, delish.[/quote']

Dominos is better.

But I gotta agree with bosoxnation07.

How the Hell could Schilling go from a one hit gem, to his opening day performance. I think if he spent more time jogging, and less time blogging, he'd be able to keep up. But he serious needs to get some consistancy with his pitching. Watch next time he pitches a shutout against the Braves on Monday.

Curt was not horrible last night. Sure, he definitely did not have his best stuff, nor anywhere near it. But in the first 2 innings, he got extremely unlucky. An error, a couple infield hits and a infield chopper turned into a double. Those two innings were very unlucky. It seemed like he was settled down until the inning with the Hawpe homer (4th or 5th). That inning, he just lost his stuff. We have all seen that he can be a great pitcher, even at this age. I'm not ready to give up on him.

Papa Gino's, yuk. Dominos, even more YUK!. There's only one way to go, and thats NOT huge chains. I have found that family owned pizza joints make the best pizza. Next to that, small chains are generally good. My favorite small chain is Upper Crust Pizza. Amazing pizza with fresh and the finest ingredients. Crazy Dough's is pretty good too, they have awesome sicilian pizza.

And Curt wasn't all that bad last night, he got very unlucky in the first few innings and the errors certainly didn't help.

I recently had Papa Gino's for the first time in maybe 10 years. I gotta say, its damn good. I'd basically completely forgotten about it.

Niether am I. Every ballplayer has a slump here and their. And I'm sure his age may have something to do with it, but after seeing his 1 hit game against the A's last week, he isn't done just yet. He just hit a bump in the road, it happens.

Schilling is done. So is Mussina. Yeah, every once in a while, they may have a good game, like Mussina did yesterday and Schilling in his near no-hitter. However, as elite pitchers, they are finished. The sooner you guys realize this the better. Schilling will walk after this year, and Mussina will walk after next season. It's just the nature of the game.

Gom I hate to say it but you might just be right on this one.I was really expecting a good performance yesterday and I was horrified. On other note Glad to see ya back man.

they are done as elite pitchers. They arent done as mid rotation guys who can give you quality most of the time. I just wouldnt hold your breath for the 12K games of old. They will rely on contact much more.

Yeah, good point. I think Schilling's near no-hitter pretty much proved your last point. Even when he's at his best, he's still not going to strike a lot of people out.

Papa Ginos is sweet. I grew up eating pizza hut and I hated the crust and the cheese. I can eat it, but Papa Ginos owns it.

It's his first loss since opening day, so I'll cut him a fair amount of slack. Also, before yesterday, only the Yankees had been tuning him up. If he finishes the year with 15 wins and a sub 4 ERA and 200+ innings, he will not have a problem getting $13 million next year. Also, whoever we get to replace him will almost surely not come close to those numbers.

kinda interesting today, Schilling said on EEI that if Theo walked up to him right now and offered him a deal for next year for $13 mil, he'd say yes
