Calling all corpses! Lazarus has arisen. With Drew going apeshit and shaking off the shackles of his slump, it makes me wonder if there isn't something in the water out west. The Sox need to find the shaman responsible for JD's resurection and get him some face time with Crisp, Lugo, and the Belli. Chop, chop, Theo, time's a wastin'.

Bring outcher' dead!

Well guys, we had better find the recipe for victory tonight or we lose a game in the standings to you know who. The Pirates are laying down like dogs over in the Bronx and it looks like the Yankees are putting a nice little winning streak together. We all knew this was coming, but maybe when they start facing some tougher competition in the next couple of weeks they will come back down to earth. In the meantime we have to keep winning.

We all know there are tons of Red Sox fans supporting our Sox in Arizona this weekend...let's hope none of them are as obnoxious as:

Mr. Over-Zealous Foul Ball Catcher!

Today we salute you, Mr. Over-Zealous Foul Ball Catcher.

Mr. Over-Zealous Foul Ball Caaaaatcher!

You're nowhere close to that foul ball heading for the bleachers, who cares?

You're going for it.

That ball's MIIIIIIIINE!

Hot dog vendors, old ladies, infants...

You mow them over like a diesel-powered combine.

YEAAAAHHHHH!!!!!

Ashamed of your souvenir fervor? Hardly.

You scratch and gouge your way to the ball like a blood-thirsty wolverine.

You're a feisty rodent.

So crack open an ice-cold Bud Light, Mr. Bully of the Bleachers.

Because why pay for a souvenir when you can fight for one?

Mr. Over-Zealous Foul Ball Caaaatcherrrrrrr.

Todays lineup features Tito giving the day off to Lowell' date=' Manny, and Pedroia[/quote']

Our lineup absolutely exploded last night. And since we're facing NL pitchers, I wouldn't worry about it too much. I would be angry if we were facing a good AL team though.

Yeah' date=' it's my new mojo series. I've listened pretty much to all of them and they don't get boring.[/quote']

yeah, I used to have a shitload of them, they were all collected together on a website

Insightful comments from Randy Johnson on the MLBTV feed. The reporter asks him what advice he would give to a rookie getting his first chance to pitch in the bigs. Johnson replies "pitch a good game" Wow:rolleyes:

Why is Pedroia not starting for the second straight game? I hope he isn't hurt. Monday we have an offday' date=' so I can't imagine he needs 3 days of rest in a 4 day span.[/quote']

Pedroia started last night, didn't he? Makes sense to let Cora play against the righty since it's RJ tommorow.

Uh wow. Lugo really butchered that at bat. He got a strike right over the inside part of the plate...that's the pitch he should have turned on.

Annnnnnnnnnd we get no runs. Lugo, groundout RBIs occur only if there are LESS than 2 outs.

Julio Lugo f***ing sucks. He seriously needs to go.

Why is he afraid to swing the bat in the 3-1 count?? Thats the pitch to hit, he does that to much, takes pitches till theres 2 strikes then swings at a borderline pitch.

It seems like he either K's, grounds out to short or hits a lazy pop-up in every at-bat.

Lugo has perfected the grounder right to the SS. In fact, if there were any offensive value in that play, no matter how minute, he'd be an MVP every year.

Wow. The ump nearly decapitated Stephen Drew with his safe call.

Keep an eye on Owings when he bats, in high school he made a run at the Prep national HR record. He's legit.

 seriously, it feels like everytime ive seen one of his AB's, it ends with a groundout to short

There are far too many of them that think, for some reason, that they are the show, not the game, IMO. I wish they'd clean house and root that faction out.
