My computer was on the blink for a day so here I am answering old mail a day late, but when it comes to Wakefield I hope Francona understands that this is NOT the guy you want to open a series with the Yankees. His ERA against them is now something like 10.63meaning that the Yankees own this guy. Besides, I think he is really showing the his age is catching up with him. Hell, the guy cannot even control his knuckler anymore. At any rate, I don't want to see this guy starting any more series' against the Yankees. That's twice he's put us in a 0 for 1 hole the past two weeks.

Riverside, we got one of them back today but I am still pissed off at Wakefield for another s***** performance against the Yankees. I hope that Lester is ready soon and we can put him in the rotation and let Taverez and Wake fight it out for No. 5 man. I'll tell you this; when it comes to the Yankees I would much rather have Julian in there pitching. He has already beaten then twice this year with a decent ERA; Wake is 0-3 against them with a 10.63 ERA. I think it is evident that we should not want this guy facing the Yankees. I think if we eventually send him to the pen we can also rid ourselves of Mirabelli as well.
