Your pitcher should be able to pick the team up if you get a bad call. And honestly, when your down by 2 runs, a close play on a steal of second doesn't exactly blow the game, its your pitcher not getting outs that blows the game.

No doubt. But the game is now over.

My school's team was f***ed out of the elite 8 by a missed traveling call against Georgetown. Granted, we had no real shot of winning the title, so I guess we were in the same boat as the yankees.

and now the game ends because of another s***** call. Fantastic. We have been f***ed by 2 obvious bad calls on steals of second. Time to get replay.

Oh shut up. I'm still fuming over Knoblauch's "tag," which happened to be in a much more important situation. 2004 helped though.

Papi continues to be beastly :) 7-2 Sox.

A win tonight ensures that the Yankees get no closer than 9.5 games when this series is over.

Oh come on man, he CLEARLY tagged him!

Whatever though. Watching him attempt to throw to first base on a regular basis more than made up for it.

and roids were illegal back then' date=' just not banned by baseball yet.[/quote']

They were not banned by baseball. Giambi could have shot up in the on-deck circle, and nothing would have happened.

I love how Giambi said that steroids never helped him hit HR. Yea' date=' right... of course they never helped you hit HRs, uh huh...[/quote']

At least he has the balls (whatever hasn't been destroyed by the 'roids LOL!) to admit to steroid use. That alone has my respect.

Major League Baseball shouldn't even have to ban steroids. If it is against the law in the US to use steroids and you are playing baseball in the US, then you can't legally use steroids while playing in MLB. Peroid. Giambi was using drugs that he wasn't supposed to and it made him better than he actually was. Peroid.

Did he actually say that? Or did he say they never helped him HIT the BALL? They don't help you hit the ball. That's all talent.

Giambi never said steroids, he has just said stuff, etc. And saying that the MLB should appologize, after saying that the "stuff" never helped you hit HRs, is just stupid. Once Giambi comes out to the public and admits to using STEROIDS, and actually addressing his steroid use, then I'll back off a bit. But he cheated by using an illegal substance, and that is that.

And the punishment for taking steroids was?

Being showered with praise and adoration from loving fans, of course.

Although, sometimes it was death. RIP Ken.

Tim Raines used cocaine. By that logic, he should have been punished by MLB.

This coming from a guy who thinks the drug war is immoral.

Is that what the discussion is? I thought it was about when they became banned. They did nothing to enforce or adjudicate the rule, but it was there.
