I caught a glimpse of the AL East standings on the monster while watching this game and it just occured to me how absolutely insane they look right now

This is off subject from the game but....does anyone know why Jon Lester only went 3.2 innings? He was absolutely rolling so I'm not sure if something happened?

 

Maybe it has something to do with the steady strict limit they have him on as he comes back from that forearm strain?

I wasn't all that gung ho about Taverez but he sure was a clear choice over Sadsack who looks like he belongs somewhere other than the mount at Fenway Park. It is early guys, but the way he is pitching it looks like we're trying to give the game away. He looks like s*** out there.

I'll admit, I wanted him to get a shot. It's not looking good, and Tavarez has pitched better than I ever imagined he would.

Hansack hasnt been himself this month, he's known for pounding the strike zone. His mechanics are off. Did I want Hansack to spot start? Yes. But as far as 5th starter this season goes... I wanted Jon Lester once he's ready

I wanted to see Devern Hansack get a shot. The guy has what....3 innings now logged at the MLB level this season? How can anyone make a judgement on that? I wanted to see Kason Gabbard as well. Both guys looked fantastic in ST and done well at AAA.

What I've learned about Devern Hansack.....he doesn't have a good enough fastball to cut it in the majors

Thanks, that worked. I was actually on the phone with the tech line when i read that and they said they were having problems with this game anyway. Nice to see the O kept it going from this afternoon
