How about these Brewers? At 24-10 they stand tall as the best team in baseball. The offense is one of the best, the rotation and bullpen have been lights out this season. It will have to take something big to not let this team make the playoffs

BTW, what is Ned Yost doing?? Francisco Cordero today got his mlb leading 15th save, the guy has now pitched for 6 straight days

And everyone on the offense is hot EXCEPT Richie Weeks, who is blowin' it big time at 2B for my fantasy team. And Yost will almost definately run into trouble using Turnbow and Cordero everyday.

JJ Hardy is the MVP of my fantasy team :D . But seriously i mean it was only a matter of time they have been legitimate for a while now

Here is my column on the Brewers. I have a new, edited version that will be published on Atomic Sports Media soon, so I'll alert you when that is released, but here is the jist of it. That site kind of serves as a trial run for my columns. This seemed relevant, so I thought I'd share it with you guys.

Good job, but the Brewers are not run by Selig.

JJ Hardy has surprised everyone this year... he's come up big hitting .331, 9 HR, 27 RBI, 23 R... also Fielder has develop pretty quickly, .295, 10 HR, 29 RBI, 23 R... Jenkins has surprised me playing very good as well and there pitching staff has done fairly well also, Capuano is 5-0, Suppan 5-2, Vargas 3-0, Cordero has 15 saves with a 0.54 with 23 Ks...

The Brew Crew (awesome name) looks to have become a people's favorite, I think it's because there's no superstars, there just guys playing good baseball, and no one expected this team to be playing as well as they are... lets see if they can keep it up...

Ben Sheets is gonna turn it around too I think, if he can regain the same form he had in '04 that would mean alot. The whole pitching staff is doing good right now, Capuano is on fire, and Suppan is holding his own. gotta give credit to a team that barely finished .500 the past few seasons

Brilliant analysis, Jacko.

Honestly, I only see one hole on that team, and it's inexperience. At some point, that ceases to matter. They can rake, they can pitch, and they have a solid BP. The Cubs have started to play well, and I suspect those two will fight it out until the end. The rest of that division is very flawed.

How long is Yost going to trot out Cordero and Turnbow, though?

I think they need some other people in that bullpen to step up.

Yeah, he's been riding them pretty hard. Villaneuva has been effective. The rest seems like filler.

He pitched in a non-save situation and it completely ruined his confidence, but Derrick Turnbow is clutch, so he helped Cordero feel good.

brewers back to earth ' date=' they have lost 5 straight and their record has dropped to 28-22[/quote']

Chuck James shut them down today as well...struck out 8 over 6 innings with only 1 ER.

Big situation now, however...first and 2nd and no one out, down 2-1, Hardy on deck...
