How many guys in all of baseball require a pitcher for them SPECIFICALLY? And how is that type of offensive dominance not worthy of MVP consideration simply because of the position he plays. He plays DH, but he requires the Yankees to use an entire roster spot for him. I don't know... I think it just speaks to how dominant Ortiz is. Offensively he is a step above just about everyone else, even if his numbers are "only" as good as the best.
