yeah I noticed that! The only game I am concerned about is the last one with JT on the hill! The last time the Sox swept a 3-game series in the Stadium was 04/23-04/25/04! Let's see what happens!

No way...you can't only be concerned with one game in the series...regardless of if they have a Jugs machine on the mound throwing 88 MPH fastballs down the heart of the plate, they still have one of the most disgusting offenses in the past 30 years. We trailed at least once in every game last series, if I remember correctly...you can't take these guys lightly...not even the slightest bit.

Anyone know if Jeter is sitting again tonight?

I think they get this one in. Won't be surprised if there is a delay though.

edit - That is, of course, unless George decides he wants to give his arms a night off. Pansy ass motherf***er.

expect enough lights from camera flashes to light most of the Bronx.

This is ridiculous...but I'm going to say it anyways because I always think about it when I see a situation like this. You're absolutely right Optimist, there are going to be enough flashbulbs at the Stadium to make the borough visible from outer space...but does any on this board do any photography at all? You use the light from your SOURCE when you take a picture...a flash only illuminates the first 10 or 15 feet in front of the camera...every flashbulb you see from the stands is going to yield an overexposed picture. Kind of disappointing for all those people, huh? Just a little note for all you guys next time you're at Fenway or The Stadium or Adam123 is at IceCapades... :harhar:

there is no possible way George allows you guys to skip Tavarez in the Bronx, which is what a rain out would do.

We sure as heck better not take the Yankees lightly. Every time we have they have comebacl and let us have it. Their rainout on Wednesday changed the dynamics of this series in that instead of getting Karstens in the opener we get Andy Pettitte who has had good success against us (13-5 lifetime). Out here some of my Dodger friends are moaning about how they lost three straight to the Giants at home after sweeping them up north. We had better make sure this does not happen to us. Matsuzaka has to pitch a helluva game tonight and we have to put some numbers on that scoreboard. Tomorrow we have to hope Tim is on his game because Sunday is probably very very dicey at best with Taverez ready to melt down as soon as he hits a batter or gives up an extra base hit.

The Red Sox can let the Yankees right back into the thick of things by coming a cropper this weekend. We must not let that happen. As for the series itself, win tonight and worry about tomorrow tomorrow.

For the record, the Yankees did not experience a rainout. It was more of a feignout. You know, feign like it is raining and then call the game so you can eliminate one bum and rest the pen leading into a series against your rival.

I really dont want to watch the yankees feed.

Michael Kay is such a homer I can't even stand it...I hate that I have to watch all of these games on Yankee television unless they're on ESPN. It's a sad, sad day when you long for John Miller to be doing the game...

Every time Michael Kay speaks an angel loses its wings.

Holy crap, we better get that 24" wide plate.
