jacko takes it seriously men

he dont really stick our noses in it when its the other way and he'll be back tommorow win or lose

and that is a man who is ok with me most of the time

there are posers who show when the yanks sweep or have a 5 game lead with 3 to play

our boy jacko isnt that type

Thanks Crunch for saying that about Jacko. He is a stand up guy and right now he must be feeling the way were in the eighth inning. Amazing how men who truly love their baseball teams take it almost like it was life and death. We got away with one and if our team isn't pumped sky high now I wonder if we even have a pulse.

Haha with the inflated market for bullpen help... Okajima signed a 2 year deal with an option for a 3rd year, a grand total of $3.5 million : )

Since giving a homerun on his first major league pitch, he has now retired 17 out of his last 18 batters. Hmm Donnelly for the 7th, Okajima for the 8th, Paps in the 9th. I like.

They are professionals. They'll go about their business the same way tomorrow. Winning does help the confidence though.

My faith in Okajima is growing exponentially with each game. I'd love to see him in the setup roll more often and wouldn't mind seeing him when Paps has pitched 2 straight games. He did prove alot tonight. Good for him.

Great f***ing game. Because the Red Sox won. For a long time there it was quite depressing. An inch here, an inch there and we have a win on our hands. You could see Coco's face after he got the triple, basically saying "f*** you skeptical Sox fans!".

I get the sense that there's a common sentiment about Coco: he's a very likeable guy who has some tools, including good speed, the ability to make a tough catch in CF, and the ability to play all three fields. If he's hitting well he is a good spray hitter who can make good contact.

lately of course he's been anything but, but I really want this guy to do well and I hope we can be patient with him. I know it has been hard for me.

Mariano looks lost, and in either case his stuff isn't that good right now. Honestly, for the past two years nearly every pitch has looked like a beach ball to me, though I know it isn't that easy.

At this point, I would rather have Papelbon than Rivera and I think more and more people will agree as the year(s) go on.

How much money are we going to throw at AROD next offseason?

I would rather throw a 4$ baseball at him tomorrow, right 'under' the hands. Seriously, make this guy a little less comfortable at the plate Beckett!

Of course, if he's available I'm okay with A-Rod as the Sox starting SS. It ain't happening though.

you wont get the shot' date=' but we'll throw Torre your way if you want him. Please?[/quote']

Arod is opting out, I bet he won't come here but wouldnt that be a huge kick in the groin. A-rod should opt out, the Yankee fans have treated him like s*** except this month.

You think A-Rod is so shallow as to suddenly think that Yankees fans love him? My guess is that he'll say "F-You NYY, I'm out". He's got to be smart enough to know that the fans don't actually like him.

35 Bombs and 120 RBI last year and he's called a choker and is scrutinized beyond belief, including by rational yankee fans here.

Yup. He owes Yankees fans NOTHING at all.

f*** A-Rod the Yanks can keep him

Your saying you wouldnt want AROD at short for the next five years? I used to agree, but he would look great along with Big Papi and Drew.

He's awsome' date=' but the Yanks can keep his drama[/quote']

They can, but if he has any pride he should opt out. His pride seems to be part of the problem, in that he is hard on himself and inordinatly self-aware.

Love his bat but not his drama. He want's to be the heart of a team and it wouldn't happen in Boston. Plus they would have to deal Manny and it just isn't happening.
