I love this team so frigging much, the make me angry all night, yet they pull it frigging out. This really puts the yanks up against the ropes in this series, Mo pitched a lot tonight, There best starter gave them a chance to win and now we they have two rookies against Beckett and D-mat. WOW!!!!

Under no circumstances would I have liked to see Pineiro even touch the outfield grass in tonight's game. He pitched around A-Rod for the most part and didn't give him anything he could really hammer. I have next to no confidence in Pineiro coming in for a game like that.

Jackson, naturally I'm elated but we were a little lucky to do what we did against Rivera. I mean, coming from four behind with the best closer in there? We needed this win but I will tell you what might be the best thing for us tonight. OKAJIMA can close in a pinch. Hell, he had to take on Jeter, Abreu and A-Rod and somehow he made it. Nice to have a rookie up there for the last out, though.

NO way you would bring out Peniero for Arod. His past numbers mean NOTHING. Arod is on a historic start to the season. Stats don't matter against him right now. Arod, however, has never seen Okajima, so he already has an edge there. Okajima also has a good fastball, great slider, curve, and changeup. He can devistate righties with his slider and he has shown great command and can get strike outs. Peniero, on the other hand, hasn't proved that he can throw strikes, much less deal with the pressure of this game.

So, do you feel confident in bringing in Okajima for the ninth when Papelbon can't? He won't see too many more situations like that (in terms of intensity/pressure). I understand how you were feeling about Papelbon sitting, but Okajima did prove himself tonight.

dido, thats what I call sacrifice. Anyway, I think we got somewhat lucky as Mo didn't have his best cutter and Torre showed his lack fo skills in handeling the pen again. Its great to see Okajima do well, and it's good to win against the great performance Pettitte gave. Well done Coco.
