120 AB's, and everyone writes him off.

He's making good contact, and has an excellent eye. His batting average will rise. Bank it. He just has been terribly unlucky.

He is average in the field.

Of course you can document this? Quit feeding me your perceptions, they're wrong.

C'mon. Do you even know the definition of productive?

His career EQA is .243, which is awful. His career average is .243, and his career OBP is .312.

We want to replace Pedroia with this guy? Seriously, why?

If we are going to upgrade, go get Ray Durham, or Jamey Carroll. Alex Cora is not an upgrade.

120 at-bats.

Pedroia is not the long term answer at 2b. Either is Cora obvisously, maybe Pedroia will hit, but he has shown nothing so far. He is a hacker with no power and he is so slow. I just like the way Cora goes about things, and think he should Platoon with Pedroia, IMO that would help the club the most. Nice save for Paps. 9-5.

again, you're writing him off after 120 ABs.

What a f***ing win for the Sox! They were the clear underdogs for this game no doubt, but the player of the game... was Manny Ramirez with his 2 run tying homerun in the 8th inning. 2 of 3 from the feisty blue jays, Sox improve their record to 9-5

how deep was the Rios popout? cause the announcer on the radio here made it seem like it was blasted

Routine can of corn to right.

Hopefully I am wrong because I know the team won't bail on him yet. He just has shown nothing against ML competition since last year when he was called up. To me he is a power hitter with no power, maybe he will catch fire, who knows? not me you, Crespo or the Sox FO. We will all have to wait and see.

I dont see how we can be feeling any better going into the Yankee series. The starting pitching is solid, Paps is showing last year was no fluke, the bullpen has been surprisingly great, the bats have been alive at Fenway and Manny finally got his first

very true bososx, this is the 9th consecutive game where the pitching has held the opposition to 3 runs or less. They are the 2nd best pitching staff in baseball, best in the AL with a overall 2.59 ERA. Also the Sox staff has the lowest opposing batting avg, heading into today's game it was just at .200

Here's hoping they can settle down the hot bats of the Yankees, especially Arod

Wos Crespo, we totally agree on something. Pedroia has to have the crappiest luck placing his hit balls, but this is no time to give up on the guy. Cora? Used wisely once or twice a week he seems to do a very good job, but we saw last year what happens when he gets exposed over a long period of time. He just doesn't get the job done. Still, I would hope that Dustin starts finding some holes. One good point. Last year he had some big hits against the Yankees in that four game set at the Stadium. In fact, he got the game winning hit in one of them.

You know Riverside that life is often not fair but I still think it is high time we give the Blue Jays a little payback for the last two years when they made our lives miserable. It looked like the same old sad song after Tuesday's game with my pal ORS calling me bi-polar for my pissed off attitude of blowing another game to these asswipes. Well, today, we won a game we probably should have lost looking at the pitching makeups and came from behind to do it. It would be swell if we can keep this going against the Jays as we handled them in '04. High time for Manny to launch one. Maybe this is the shot he needed. We can sure use our 3-5 guys all hitting in sync. GREAT TWO WINS IN THIS SERIES.

Manny, you can put me in that company, too, because I still am not 100% sure Pedroia is going to cut it; I just believe he will. He did pretty well in the Yankee series at YS last September. Maybe he will start to earn his keep this weekend. At any rate, we all should be feeling pretty damn good right about now.

Also lost in the comeback was how well Tavarez pitched today, I will take his outting 10/10 times as the 5th starter. He was in complete control until the 6th, and was dueling Halladay pitch for pitch for a good portion of the game. If he can pitch like this, there is no need for Hansack, and we can just wait it out until Lester is ready. Which by most accounts could be sometime in early to mid May.
