Oh' date=' common, why are the f***ing Blue Jays playing so hard against the Yankees?!?!?! I bet when they play the Red Sox or the Tigers they're going to let them win![/quote']

they better

In all seriousness though, Wang just doesn't have it tonight, and with the way Halladay is pitching, this may be a lost cause. It's hard to sweep a team on the road, especially a team that has been playing extremely well in their ballpark like the Blue Jays are.

Wang has beenfine recently' date=' he just started to fade late in games. Today, he has faded from the first pitch.[/quote']

I disagree with you, I think that Wang hasn't been sharp at any point in most of his games since his start against the Mets. A lot of his runs come late, but he has been far from impressive at any point in his starts. As for tonight, this may have been the worst start of his career to this point.

Hell of an at-bat by Rios.

After Cora's AB against Clement when they were in the NL, and DPed's against Gagne this season, I think it should be an MLB rule that once the AB reaches 15 pitches it should be a ground-rule double. Home run if the count is still 0-2 after 15.

lol' date=' what happened? I'm watching the Mets game now. Did he just leave the booth or something?[/quote']

He didn't say anything for the entire top of the 8th.

Hmm, he's a strange guy. And now he's using "technical" terms to explain the struggles of Kyle Farnsworth. How about we just say that everything is in the middle of the plate. Eh, this is great, Kyle dominates when his team is down 11 runs.

EDIT: Actually he didn't even pitch too well. Zaun and Stairs both hit the ball hard.

Jorge Posada and Andy Phillips are both out of the lineup tonight with minor injuries. Travis Hafner is also not playing.

Again, hopefully they DH Shoppach.

edit - Just saw your post in the KiloMetric thread. Nixon goes 3-4 with a HR tonight.

Hmm, for some odd reason I hope he doesn't.

EDIT: The Guardians are all wearing number 14, in honor of Larry Doby. It reminds me of Jackie Robinson day, and, to be honest, I don't really want to be remind of Jackie Robinson day.

If the Yankees aren't going to let Carmona's sinker fall below the knees it's going to be a long night. However, he paints the inside corner and he's off to a good start.

91 on the YES gun? Not good.

And the YES announcers talking about the Texas game still????

To be honest, I've been a bit disapointed about Phil's velocity. It has been 90-92 earlier in every start he's made so far this year at the major league level. To make matters worst, on Saturday, he dropped to 88-89 by the fourth inning.

Two good fastballs though on Sizemore and Lofton, on the fists, inducing two pop-flys. His only curveball so far was a good one as well, the 1-2 pitch to Lofton which he fouled off. And there was his first change on the first pitch to V-Mart.

EDIT: He refused to attack V-Mart with fastballs early in the count, he fell behind, he paid for it. Good hitters will do that to you.

He's showing an unwillingness to be agressive with fastballs early in the count against the heart of the order. Have to rely on your best pitch Phil.

EDIT: Really good 3-2 pitch on Garko, just didn't get the call. It probably was a bit inside.

1-0. A-Rod really needs to get going if the Yankees are going to come through the stretch as good as they went into it.

EDIT: Give me a break, number five starter on the mound, first and second no one out, bottom of the order coming up, decent hitter at the plate, and you bunt?!?!
