You had to realize this was a joke, because 1. Ortiz is obviously going to hit and 2. Ortiz is certainly not a thug.

I love the line in the Extra Bases blog on the last run:

 

The Sox lead 2-0 after Julio Lugo just doubled to lead off the fifth against Zack Greinke. With Kevin Youkilis up, Lugo attempted a steal of third and drew an errant throw from catcher John Buck, scoring Lugo. Imagine that: the Sox manufactured a run.

Nice pitch by Dice-K to get the third out. I think at this point considering it's the first start and it's cold, this is going much better than anyone expected.

That ball by Varitek would have been gone on a summer day. The last two days his swing looks a little bit better, let's hope the results improve as well.
