I predict a Ryan Shealy HR off DiceK

Well it looks like you crapped out big time on that one HHM, but you were sort of in the neighborhood because DeJesus took Matsu out of the yard. However, you still lose out because close only counts in horseshoes, love and grenades. Got to admit, though, Dice-K really looked pretty good today, didn't he? Well, I'll tell you something else. He can be even better than that.

Why? They're the first ones to post that Schilling looks old when he gives up a few runs in an early-April start... where are they when the Sox do well?

I think its a fair question. And don't give me "they're hanging out in Yankee chat rooms" cause for Jacksonian at least, that likely aint the case.

I bought an apartment today. I just got home after being on the road from 1pm.

I listened to Matsuzaka's game on XM and the royals had no chance.

No, they aren't on Talksox 24/7.

Do you have any idea how annoying you guys sound everytime the Red Sox get a hit?

"LOL WERES HOMO N FAGSOIAN AT NOW!!!!!"

the sox offense still has to warm up a bit, but Mats sounded just flat out dominant. The royals guys did their best to disguise their man crush on the young chap, but they couldnt by the end. He just owned.

the offense will warm up along with the weather. i can imagine it would be tough getting accustomed to Florida weather for several weeks and then having to play 3 games in a chilly KC

Dammit I had to work during the game and missed it all. I'm too lazy to read 15 pages of this so can someone fill me in? Did we win? How'd Dice K do? How many innings did he last? Ks?

I can't believe what a whiny prick you are. Everything is telling people to shut up and using derrogatory comments to put people down. You don't like the way people are on this forum? Leave then. Jeez.

It was a good game. My first of the year in front of the TV!

We won 4-1 (jeez check espn.com)

Dice was excellent. 7ip/6 hits/1 run/1bb/10k

While you were masturbating with self-satisfaction after writing your rigorous psychological analysis of me, did it occur to you that you guys are the ones complaining about the Yankee fans not being on the website when the Red Sox win?

Don't worry, I don't expect you to understand irony, that little thing of you being a moron is just too hard to get past.

Uhhh, yeah. We weren't complaining about it, we found it curious. Curious that when times are bad for the Sox, there's Gom chiming in. When the Sox do well... crickets. I don't know why I'm explaining that to you, given that you're sitting there thinking about me masturbating. Sicko.

Holy s***. You are an idiot.

The last part really made me laugh, though. Is that what you do when you throw mud?

You know Riverside, it is great to have Yankee fans like Jacko and Gom on this board; a little variety certainly doesn't hurt. I would rather deal with them than three *******s on this board who I will refrain from mentioning since it would make me want to heave my dinner. I suppose a little more intense of a search should be underway since the Yankees lost tonight but, what the hell, three games into the season and we are worrying about who is ahead already? Nah!!!! Gom and Jackson might be feeling a little as we did Monday night, but both camps are going to riding up to the penthouse and down to the basement many times this year so we should all batten down the hatches and prepare for a real wild ride.

WMP was probably trying to give Dice K some fielding tips in case a pop fly went his way.

Dana, I love most of your posts but please let up on Curt. I am a big fan of his and Red Sox fans do owe him a big vote of thanks for putting his ass on the line back in '04. He has enough competitiveness and pride to come back strong next time out. Besides, if we are going to go anywhere this season we need a big year from Schilling. Yes, the guy likes a microphone and loves to bloviate but at least he backs his talk up most of the time.

Paps, once again we have a visitor from another board under another assumed handle. Pay no mind to the guy. He is not here to contribute anything worthwhile. He's been here before.

Can we cut out the spaming? Who cares about Jacksonian and Crespoblows. This is supposed to be discussion about THE GAME. Can we get back to that? Either discuss Dice-K's great start or don't post at all. It's annoying to see all this spam when I actually want to discuss that game. Grow up boys.

I was really impressed with Dice-K. 10 Strikeouts was far more than what I expected and he managed to get himself out of jams in grand fasion. Its reall obvious now that he has such a great mentality. Hes a rock. I can't wait to see him pitch at yankee stadium, I think he'd be even calmer! I'm not too worried about the offense, as they will get better along with the weather. I am worried about Tek, Lugo, and Crisp though. I have been really impressed with Pedroia, he's really been swinging the bat well. I wouldn't be surprised if he was bumped up the lineup in not too long if crisp doesn't find his stroke.

I assure you he is not from another board, nor is he here to antagonize you.

seabeach, not feeling down at all. To this point our offense looks amazing and aside from a wild pitch and a second inning by Proctor, our pen has been absolutely dominant.

As for the starters, as I said before, Pavano looked solid through 4 and fell apart in the 5th. Pettitte was shaky but held the rays in check through 4 then had 2 infield hits be the end of his night. One thing I will have to keep an eye on is Pettitte's velocity. I had heard he lost a few mph since his days in pinstripes and say it a bit in ST. Last night, he was sitting 89-91 which is a few mph lower than where he sat in his last trip here (91-94). It bears watching, and what also bears watching is the fact that he junked his cutter, which was one of his more important pitches when he was in NY last, for a change. Since he is coming off a back injury, he gets a minor pass for last nights work. Thing is, we need him to take the reigns while CMW is out. Once it gets warmer, I expect him to hit his spots a little better.
