$20 Bill pointed out the result of today’s ST game, and filled in some stats of the game. I thought it was in poor taste that he left out the great JD Drew walked even though he went 0-2 in the game.

You guys need to chill out, for God sakes it is only a ST game. The Red Sox are still in the hunt, and the last time I checked we are still tied for first place in the AL East.

Nobody is freaking out. This is just an disgruntled former member, who is a LA Dodger fan.

It doesn't matter if LA beat the Sox, we didn't have our whole team playing anyway, it was a split squad today...

Which is more impressive? Dice-K beating up on the Boston College team, or LA beating the Sox in a split squad game? Donnelly took the loss, Drew went 0-2 with a walk... the players that mattered will be on the Sox' opening day roster.

By the way, I'm not inferring that LA is better than the Sox. Well, maybe in ST they are.

Who said it mattered? Did anyone say it mattered? Why do you guys feel the need to defend something that does not matter?

Almost as silly as bringing it up in the first place.

Tick' date=' tock, the countdown to other Dodgers trolls being banned is on[/quote']

What have I said to offend you? Are are going to burn down the Boston Globe because it has the box score of the game printed in it? I can understand if you are asking for a ban if I am comming in here screaming "Sox Sucks, Dodgers Rule, Goodnite Now", but all I am trying to do have a friendly disscussion.

btw, are you from Riverside, CA? Because if I were given a choice of living in Riverside or Hell, I would have to ask how hot Hell is this time of the year.

Insult him where it hurts. Good one! http://www.netchatforum.hu/forum/skins/base/images/smiley/msn/thumbs_up.gif

Do we play the Dodgers in the regular season? When and if we play them, I will be at DB after the sweep.

I don't think the Sox will make the SW so this will not be happening. Unless the Sox nut up and overcome JD Drew Disease. Remember no team has ever made it to the SW with JD Drew on its roster.

I guess when you haven't won anything since the 1988 season (and nothing before that since '81) you get excited about winning a spring training game. Sox fans, what we need to do is just ignore this poster. He/she clearly does not realize that the Dodgers are not even the best team with 'Los Angeles' in its name.

You seem to be about as worthless as the city of Los Angeles itself. Maybe I am being too harsh though -- I am not sure how my mind would function with such a large concentration of pollution surrounding me at all times.

Wow, someone throws the Bo-Sox a cookie for the first time in 86 years you act like they are the second comming of the Boston Celtics. & where the hell did you come up with the assessment that the other team in LA is better? Are you going off of playoff records? Or maybe number of rings? Or is it just last years record? Please let me know how you came to the conclusion that the Angels are a better team.

Ohh, it is 82 Degrees outside today, and tomorrow calls for another day of great weather. Let me know when it gets up to 40 in boston.

This is one of the worst arguments ever. You could also say that no team has made the "Series World" with Alex Rodriguez on their roster. It's just stupid. Doesn't mean he is a bad player.

Also: Quite a coincedence that you come back the same time this "Gammons" fellow registers.

ORS called it, sounds a lot like Linda. Pretends to want to "discuss baseball" but, obviously, that's not the case......zzzzzzzz and tick/tock on this one.

First off, I was making the point that the Dodgers have accomplished nothing as far as having success in the playoffs, or even making the playoffs. In comparison, since 1990, Boston has been to the playoffs EIGHT times (including one World Series championship and four trips to the ALCS) while L.A. has been four times, never making it past the ALDS once (and being swept in three of those four)

As far as the Dodgers/Angels comparison goes:

Dodgers v. Angels over the past five years --

Angels:

2002 -- World Champions

2003 -- 3rd AL West

2004 -- 1st in AL West

2005 -- 1st in AL West

2006 -- 2nd in AL West

Dodgers:

2002 -- 3rd in AL West

2003 -- 2nd in AL West

2004 -- 1st in AL West

2005 -- 4th in AL West

2006 -- T-1st in AL West (swept in NLDS)

Go ahead and make your argument that you a better team than the Angels right now. I will follow up your argument by reminding you Grady Little is your manager.

I am glad that "Gammons' Red Sox lovefest" did point out that the Dodgers are only better than the Sox in spring training, though. Clearly, it would be hysterical to compare the Dodgers to THE Boston Red Sox. I mean, you've won ONE playoff game in the last 17 years, and the last time you won a playoff series was this...

I don't know what's funnier; somebody arguing that the Angels are a better team than the Dodgers, or that the Red Sox have a rich baseball history.
