February 18, 2007 -- BRIDGET Moynahan, the star of ABC's "Six Degrees," is expecting and the father is New England Patriot All-Pro quarterback Tom Brady, although the couple is no longer together.

Moynahan, 36, is more than three months along and "healthy and excited" about the impending arrival, said her spokeswoman, Christina Padadopoulos.

She and Brady dated for two years before breaking up in December.

"They were both very focused on their careers," a pal told the Boston Globe at the time of the split. "She was putting a lot into 'Six Degrees,' he into the Patriots. It was just really hard to make it work."

Brady, 29, has lately been seen squiring around supermodel Gisele Bundchen, 26, and was spotted coming and going from the Brazilian bombshell's SoHo apartment building. Bundchen, in turn, was seen hanging around the Patriots' locker room after a game last month.

This will be the first child for both Moynahan and Brady, whose bid to reach a fourth Super Bowl was cut short last month by another star QB, the Colts' Peyton Manning.

Brady busied himself in a courtroom Friday, drawing a standing-room-only crowd as he testified on behalf of his former mentor, current Notre Dame coach Charlie Weis, who is suing over a botched gastric-bypass surgery.

Heres the story

Of a man named Brady

Who was a player for a team that's past its prime

all of them had rings of gold from before

And thought they were sublime

Heres the story

of a supermodel

Who had thoughts and delusions of grandeur too

Sure, maybe she looked good in a bikini

But with airbrushing you would too

Till one day when this lady met this fellow

and she knew she could cash in on his name

she got knocked up by him, this story

Is always the same

The Brady Bunch

The Brady Bunch

Soon theyll become the Brady Bunch.

He didn't use a condom?

Were you there to know this? Condom's aren't 100% effective. She also might have been on BC so they may not have been using one. Either way I'll just go back to thinking about Gisele

Yeahhhhh...about that.

Condoms are damn close to 100% effective, so I think I was perfectly logical in making my generalization.

Oh well. He's still a shining role model for the youth of today.

How can you call anybody that had sex with Bridget Moinahoweverthef***youspellit stupid?
He dumped her, and now is the father of her illegitimate child?

I figured he was stupid for leaving her anyway. Don't knock up an Irish Catholic girl and expect her to have an abortion.

How many times has this happened to Derek Jeter?

I don't know, I think the whole thing is kinda fishy. They're together for 3 years and she never gets pregnant. Then she tells him she wants to get married, settle down and have kids. That's not what he wants so he breaks up with her. Then surprise! She's pregnant.

The chick should have been using BC. Women can do sooooo much more to stop pregnancy then men can. Condoms break, condoms don't always work, using a condom is not the way to stop a baby. Birth control is like 99.99% effective, the odds of having a baby with birth control is sooooo small it's insane.

Something's not right here, maybe the lady wanted a baby, maybe Tom's just an idiot for not making sure, but something's not right here.

I think he's handling the situation perfectly...

Kilo, if you've never had any kind of pregnancy scare in your life, even WITH the use of a condom, you probably haven't had your fair share of sex. It happens, belieeeeeve me it happens.

Rather than deny it being his, rather than arguing and say he wanted a test, rather than making a HUGE deal out of it...he comes out, says he's excited about it, and is ready to take responsibility for it. In this day in age, that IS a good role model, if you ask me.

Having kids out of wedlock? Yeah man. Great role model.

Didn't Wilt Chamberlain say he slept with 10,000 women?

I wonder how many he got pregnant.

none...his schlong was so big it came out the chick's ass and he "over-shot" her.

Dude...today's society is screwed up. There are no two ways about it. The divorce rate is over 50%. A kid being born IN wedlock gives him LESS than a 1 in 2 shot of remaining in a married, 2 biological parent household. And even in that situation...who's to say that child is better off? People are getting married for messed up reasons, households are falling apart for EVERY reason, kids are being left in foster care, fathers are denying paternity...

Being born "in wedlock" doesn't hold the same water that it used to.

Yea, there's no way Wilt never slipped one past the goalie with all those women.

Pregnancies occur in about 3 out of every 100 women that use condoms correctly regularly. So, statistically, wouldn't that mean that there are potentially 300 little Will's running around somewhere? Hmmm...do the Grizzlies still need a center? hahaha :dunno:

I agree, this would be a huge gossip story like 40 yrs ago, now days its kinda normal and Brady has handled it the best way possible.

So you would want Brady not to raise HIS child, yaaaa, I'm sure that would be a MUCH better role model...

and children are probably born Out of wedlock more then they are born In wedlock, so you would want children in foster care and such rather than be with there biological parents... ya cause that would be SOO much better rite...

Where did I say it would be acceptable for Brady to not raise his child? I said since he had the child without being married to the person who is having his kid, then that projects him to be a negative role model for people.

As for the second part of your argument, if you conveyed it in a way that didn't make you seem like you were 6 years old or typing blindfolded then maybe I'd address it.

I honestly don't know what you're trying to tell me, so let's break it down...

"children are probably born Out of wedlock more then they are born In wedlock" - I've never really heard of this, while the cases of children being born outside of marriage has certainly increased, I'd still think married couples have more children than those who aren't. I'd like to see some factual evidence on the matter.

you would want children in foster care and such rather than be with there biological parents - Again, I said nothing about shirking their responsibilities as parents. I would like to see Tom Brady raise his kid, and by all accounts he is going to. But what's the image he's portraying here? As a role model...is he supposed to be having children with women he's not married to?

And as for the whole "society is messed up" argument...yeah I guess you could say it is the case, but what is going to have to happen to change it? I admire Brady for accepting responsibility and saying he's going to take care of the child, but not everyone who has children outside of marriage is as financially well off as he is. it's a lot harder for an 18 year old who knocked up his girlfriend to support the child than it is for Bridget Moynahan and Tom Brady.

I just think that if society as a whole is going to change for the better, then we have to bring attention to things like this. It's good that Brady accepted responsibility...but wouldn't it have been better if he and Moynahan had a kid if they were married?
