and the worst part about the period between the SB and ST (mind you, I refuse to call this basketball or hockey season, rather I will call it a tweener season) is that Steven A (sshole) Smith is on the f***ing TV every 2 minutes. He makes me want to dip my balls into a piranha infested lake. You know he was that skinny little brat that got the s*** beat out of him in the ghetto for being a dork. Now he tries almost too hard to be ghetto and literate, two words that dont belong in the same sentence. He deserves a swift kick in the balls!

I don't know if you heard but Stephen A. Smith's show did get cancelled. Maybe it will help this transition time for you be a little easier.

you have made my day!

In August 2005, he began hosting a daily hour-long show on ESPN2 called Quite Frankly with Stephen A. Smith.Initially airing weeknights at 6:30 PM, it was moved in January 2006 to 11 p.m., with encore airings most days at 2 p.m. Quite Frankly had received a .1 household rating prior to its change in time, and by January, 2007, ESPN announced that the show would be canceled. Smith had complained about the support his show has received from ESPN - a complaint that ESPN's ombudsman George Solomon has characterized as "whiny."

In addition to Quite Frankly, Smith has served as a NBA analyst for ESPN since October. He has also been a judge on the failed ESPN reality series Dream Job, and was a frequent guest (and guest host) on ESPN's Pardon the Interruption and 1st and 10. His harsh and loud tone expressed during debates has earned him the nickname "Screamin' A. Smith" by several of his colleagues.

Smith publicly criticized the Toronto Raptors' 8th overall selection in the 2005 NBA Draft, "The pick makes absolutely no sense whatsoever, when you think how they traded away Vince Carter, virtually for nothing, again we sit here today, wondering, what on EARTH is Rob Babcock doing!" Charlie Villanueva finished second in Rookie of the Year voting at the end of the season.

The truck leaves for Ft. Myers today. I leave 2 weeks from Wednesday.

I'm so jealous...when I lived in ORL, I'd take tours of spring training all over the Grapefruit League...some of the best times I can remember. I used to blow off class all the time to go to games...probably why I didn't get much credit during those 3 years :dunno: But, YOLO, You Only Live Once, and it was a GREAT time.

You ever go to the workouts or have you just gotten down for games? The workouts are where I've met all of the guys.

Did you ever get over to see the Twins while you're in Ft. Myers? I've never seen a more fan-friendly team...absolutley unbelievable. Definitley worth going to if you want some time away from City of Palms Park.

I agree baseball season needs to start. I hate it when the white stuff is on the ground it just reminds me that it means more time until the baseball season starts up again. Being a baseball players means depression for about 6 or 7 months for me lol.
