This will sell like crazy...

http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2007/scorecard/01/11/truth.rumors.mlb/index.html

You won't be able to buy a ticket for under $10 on game day at Dodger Stadium next season, but you will be able to pay $40 for a bleacher seat and an endless supply of Dodger Dogs. The Dodgers are converting the right-field pavilion into an all-you-can-eat section.

That is a pretty sweet idea, might even make it worth going to see a Dodgers game..... and then again maybe not:)

so long as it is vegan.

Oh, Jacksonianmarch, you are a comedic genius. Because supposedly people in LA only care about their image.

BTW, it is kind of ironic that this topic is titled "Briiliant!" You guys must have gotten so excited at the chance to "own" us Dodger fans that you overlooked the spelling. It's understandable.

only in la do they need to offer free food to get the park filled

of course some vegan with a hyphenated name will bring a law suit because his/her/its section doesnt have free dogs or perhaps the sodium content on the free dogs is harmful to children

I misspelled the word, sue me...I know L.A. got plenty of laywrs. Just a FYI for your oversensitive West Coast behind, I thought this was an awesome idea and definetely something that would attract me to the ballpark even more.

lol

I can already see a fat kid's parents suing Dodger stadium for making their kid fat in a couple of years.

hahaha... dodgers fans. sorry.

Dude, I'd like an all you can eat pavillion at fenway. Scratch that, how about just outside of fenway. I'll never use my meal card at school again.

Oh' date=' yeah, I just [i']won't[/i] stand up for Dodger fans after that f***ing dumbass posts obvious west coast stereotype ********.

yet you live up to the stereotypes daily my friend. The left coast is the pussy coast. I'm forming new ones right now!

LA is repeatedly near the top in attendance in all of MLB (second to the Yankees, I believe). They don't need gimmicks to fill the seats.

LA-bashing because of a few DB guys posting here is idiotic as well.

Posted

check the seats in the 1st inning

then check the seats in the 8th inning

attendance #s lie

seats are sold in bulk to corporations who then write them off and distribute them to their clientelle

the dodgers in losangeles do have a core fan base thats impressive

there are what??20 million people within 100 miles of chavez ravine, many who are spanish decent where baseball is king?

and when they win they sell out

however

theyre not to be confused with what we have in the northeast

outside of the 1.5-2M core fans the rest are of the wine and cheese variety

we have some of that here as well

not to the extent of the dodgers

And you live up to the obnoxious, ******* New York guy stereotype very well.

Your masterpiece posts are the reasons I keep coming back here.

Wrong. They had almost 4 million fans last year. The reason for this idea is to sell those seats for $40 instead of $6.

so you admit to being a troll. Well, that settles it.

That doesn't mean they filled the park as they only sold 82.9% of their capacity. Oh, and the attendance figures are tickets sold, not people through the gate.

On topic, this makes little sense. So a bleacher seat used to cost $6, and it will now cost $40 for all you can eat hot dogs? That's $34 for a Dodger Dog buffet. Who the f*** wants that?

Spanish descent? Only if you're talking f?tbol, which is the reason why Beckham came to LA and not any other MLS team.

Every park has its empty seats. It's just that the parking lot is visible from the press box at Dodger Stadium. That's why they get ragged on the most.

4 million in attendance is a lot.

I don't know, but if you're able to sell a stupid idea, people will come. Such is the American way.

I told you to take it easy. Now it stops, no name calling, no trolling, blah blah you know what's cool and whats not. It ends here.

No one likes to see fights. It makes me a saaad panda.

No she wasn't in tears and rolling around on the floor. I was at work, that behavior is frowned upon.

so i guess they want to kill all of the dodger fans.... give 'em free hotdogs that are most likely extremely unhealthy

hahaha
