BTW.....they do not have the same numbers, and its actually not even f***ing close. Please do a little research when you are going to throw a comment out there like that.

Hrm:

Abe has a 27-24 record in the minors and is 0-1 in MLB (the year Baltimore owned us). And a 4.47 ERA in the minors, even despite a horrible 2006.

Hernandez MLB: 25 W 33 L 5.38 ERA

Hernandez Minors: 31 W 24 L 3.34 ERA

We've only see one MLB start from Alvarez. I wouldn't mind seeing a few more.

I think I DID post them and RESEARCH them. So how about you do some research about how not to look like a complete idiot?

Hernandez minor league numbers:

31-23 ERA:3.34

7.9 K/9Inn

434 IP

Abe Alvarez minor league numbers:

27-24 ERA: 4.47

6.63 K/9inn

417 IP

Yes, he has an ERA that is worse. He's a finesse pitcher. Both of them suck. I said the signing sucks, we have a sucky back up already. So how about instead of trying to kick me in the nuts you stfu?

You cant compare their major league numbers because Alavarez has NEVER been good enough to even deserve a shot, not even last year when Kyle Snyder, and Johnson, and Tavarez and every other shitbum EXCEPT Alvarez was given a shot. I would take Hernandez any day of the week over Abe.

John Danks has a similar minor league ERA, and was just dealt for Brandon McCarthy. I never said Alvarez was good enough for a shot. But I was questioning the signing when we have a Snyder who can start, a Tavarez who can start, a Pauley who can start and a Lester when back that should be solid.

THAT WAS MY POINT. I wouldn't take either of them. You can go take Hernandez. I'll take Snyder.

The Danks point is irrelevant as you and I both know Danks has probably a tad more upside and promise. Just as Hernandez is a bit more promising than Abe. I agree, Pauley, Tavarez, and Lester are by far better options than him, but it doesn't hurt to have depth in the minors.

Lets be clear and use elsrbueno's point that no one expects much of Hernandez, if anything he'll be a long reliever. However, if you had to choose between Hernandez and Abe to start a game for you, who would you choose (if you had to win).

No...the fact that you called them equal although their minor league numbers clearly shows that they are not even close dikfor.
