The sox, not being able to sign a closer, may be okay with moving Paps back to the position after 2 months of the season, which is when old man clemens would want to return.

Riverside, I could not conceive that the Red Sox are that stupid as to jerk Papelbon around like that, but, then again, maybe I'm giving my team too much credit. Of course, I think all this is moot because if Clemens goes anywhere it will be back to the Yankees. He and Andy are joined at the hip as it is, almost a human replica of Paul Winchell and Jerry Mahoney. :D :D

It seems some of us are getting a little antsy about the Matsuzaka talks and one even hinted that I might be getting a little paranoid about the while thing. Hell, some of my friends are even offering me viagra trying to keep me in check. Well, I don't need that YET but I need Daisuke signed and a closer in Red Sox livery so at least I can dream of somehow getting scalper tickets for a WS game or two at Fenway next year. It's tough enough to win in the tough AL but we have to get our ducks all in a row and Matsu and a closer are those ducks holding that row up.
