One offhand comment' date=' followed by a series of posts discussing what I said. If you want to address the lone comment, quote it. You seem to know how to use the quote function.[/quote']

Maybe if you weren't so arrogant, you'd see that not every comment is directed toward you.

Or maybe I just think all of your posts are POS, and I wanted to skip them and go to the bottom of the thread.

If Drew's signed' date=' he could play CF[/quote']

Drew wanted to play CF in LA, but the Dodgers said no because of his styrofoam knees.

But hey, if the Sox fans want him in CF, they must know more than the team that had him for the two previous years.

This comment and the proper quotation is for the arrogant Larry the Cucumber.

Don't you have a carton of cigarettes to smoke and a male group orgy to attend to? Isnt that what all of you losers do in Cali?

I have NEVER heard that scenario used when stereotyping Californians.

And just so your stupid ass doesn't repeat the same mistake, California leads the country in anti-smoking laws.

The male group orgies are in San Francisco. Look at a map, that's over 300 miles away from here (L.A.).

And one other thing. Why would I go to a male group orgy when I am a married woman?

we know who you are. You are a troll who followed seabeach over here to ruin him. You are a dude, we all know this, who has way too much time on his hands. Get out of here before you are forcibly removed.

I'll admit, I was wrong in my assumption, but it was made for good reason. A series of posts were discussing a topic regarding someone playing CF, and then you chimed in about another player in CF. It looked like you were continuing the discussion, and not singling out another post in the thread.

Yeah, my posts are POS. Remind me who is here just to talk smack to a 60 y/o on the internet?

I have 40 posts, and ONLY one of them was directed at my husband.

Whoa, whoa, whoa. Hold on a second. First, I'm not a dude. Second, I'm not a troll.

No one here knows who I am except for Fred. I wake up to him every morning, unless he stays up all night chatting with you guys.

Sure, your husband. Still trying to keep the ruse, huh? Why, then, did he deny it? It seems a greater loss to denounce your wife than to be outed as a bandwagoner. And, why did you and Annie's tone change from pleasant to putrid once he denied it? Sell your wares some place else, I'm not buying.

Drew is a great RF, but not a great CF. WMP is an okay CF, but not a good RF, especially in Fenway. Playing Drew in CF and WMP in Rf would weaken two positions.

As for the delay with the Drew deal, maybe the Sox FO is using it as some leverage in the Matsuzaka negotiations. Otherwise, I see no reason for the delay in finalizing the deal.

You must be a millionaire. Can you sell me your amazing invention device for detecting TONE in a message board post? That's fantastic!

Wow...I can see that it's not just me that everyone gets upset with, lol.

With the pending signing of Matsuzaka, the signing of Drew and Lugo, the Red Sox have effectively closed the gap on the Yankees. Should be a great division race. Kudos to the Sox for having the balls to go out and get exactly what they need, money be damned. Nice job, Sox FO.

The way I see it, the Yankees have the edge in the pen, the Sox in the rotation. The Yankees have the advantage at catcher, 2B, SS, 3B, CF. The Sox have the advantage at DH, 1B, and LF. I consider RF a wash with Drew and Abreu. That leaves it 4-3 Yankees in the lineup, with one tie.

Should be a fantastic season. Of course...maybe neither team is done dealing...lol.

Thank you. I agree, I cannot wait for the season to start. The Jays are gonna be in there too, great offense, but their pitching after Halladay is suspect. It's gonna be a fun year.

I agree, its shaping up to be a very intense AL East race this year, unlike last year.

The Sox should sign Gagne by tomorow, then put all their attention into signing Matsuzaka.

Abreu is the much better player, he will steal more bases and stay on the field.

Overall.

Posada> Tek right now

??? vs Youkilis, who knows. If it is Hillenbrand then I see that as a wash

Cano vs Pedroia Cano

ARod vs Lowell ARod

Jeter vs Lugo Jeter

Matsui vs Manny Manny all the way

Damon vs Cocout Damon

Abreu vs Drew Abreu

Giambi vs Ortiz Ortiz by a mile.

but as we all know, it isnt 1 vs 1, it is how the lineup meshes.

The contract calls for annual salaries of $14 million, but how much Drew actually makes in the fifth year depends on how many games he plays before then. If he can't meet set levels of games played, some of the final $14 million would be deferred well into the future.

I think this part makes the deal one of the better ones in the offseason.

If Gary Matthews can command $11 mil per, JD Drew can fetch $14.

Nice work, Theo and Co.

Yeah, tell me about it...

Free-agent starter Gil Meche likely will command $10M annually.

No...not disappointed. Terrified, lol.

Certain players you simply do not want to face your team when it counts. For us, it's Papi and Manny. For you guys, I don't know, maybe Jeter and Mo.

lolz, yeah like that's realistic after all the recent offseason aquisitions... face it, if the dodgers were desperate enough to part with 2 - 3 of their top prospects and a major league ready player now, manny would already be out the door...the ONLY thing holding up this deal is San Fran has squat to deal, Ned isnt willing to give away his most promising young talent for an aging 34 yo-allstar w/a history of complaining about where he plays, and Theo doesnt want to be on the hook for any part of manny's contract once he's traded.

unless boston gets a ny-level payroll, i'd be shocked if manny is still on the roster by the end of spring training.

Much better? Look at their stats. I'll give the edge to Abreu, but they are very similar.
