I'm curious...of the following, would anyone be surprised they were accused:

Pujols

Howard

Thome

Abreu

ARod

A Jones

Posada

IRod

Varitek

Garciappara

Trot

Jeter

Soriano

Vlad

I trust none of 'em...and really don't care either.

I would like to say I would be shocked if any of them were accused, but I just can't. I hope none of them used. I hope Clemens didn't. It's just a shame what the sport is going through in this day and age. I hope it all ends soon.

Jeter would surprise me ... Soriano I'd be somewhat surprised ... he looks like most players do before they get on roids. The rest honestly wouldn't.

Jeter and Soriano would definitely surprise me. Neither have bulked up a ton or anything since entering the league.

I doubt it very much. He's a pitcher wouldn't he rip apart his arm if he was on the juice.
Many pitchers were juicing. The guy that is giving up the names is a pitcher. For pitchers it allows them to strengthen their legs and it shortens the recovery time after pitching. The pitchers weren't pumping iron to increase their biceps.

Jason Grimsley without accusing one of the greatest pitchers of all time of using steroids: Nameless chump.

Jason Grimsley after accusing one of the greatest pitchers of all time of using steriods: Instant headline name.

When Jeter or Torre accuses Clemens and Pettite of using steroids I may start to wonder.

I'm surprised that you guys are surprised. Roger's name has been thrown around a bit in the past few years. And in this instance, wasn't Grimsley accusing him of using HGH?

Honestly, I hope to god he wasn't, but I wouldn't be shocked if he was. Same for Pettitte, as much as I hate saying that. None of the guys named yesterday would surprise me.

Andruw and Howard would surprise me. Soriano and Jeter of course. Pudge ALREADY WAS accused. Aside from that, the only other person who might surprise me somewhat is Vlad. I wouldnt be surprised if any of the others were using at some point.

Now that's not saying that I think any of the others were using, because I honestly think Jorge, A-Rod, and Trot are completely clean. I almost feel that way about Tek too. I felt that way about Nomar, but I can definately see him using after his career started going downhill in 2004.

Its so sad that it has gotten to this. We wouldn't be surprised with most of them. I seem to agree with most that Soriano and Jeter would be shocking. I mean those guys are on the slim side. Before today A-Rod would be a big shocker to me because of the workout's I saw him do (it was on the show "This week in Baseball" a few years back.), but after Clemens name came up and I remember him having a strong workout regimen, I'm not so sure, because they both were known for exceptional off-season workouts (was HGH involved with the training they did? :dunno: ). Very few anymore would be a big surprise to me.

i feel when its all said and done we will be discussing who didnt use as opposed to who did

its a competetive edge

it helps you heal quicker

between grapefruit and the playoffs youre looking at over 200 games a year

it may not require a lot of physical contact but it is still a ton of wear and tear on your body

i could actually care less what these guys and their 8 figure deals do to get on the field

Clemens "denial" wasn't exactly the best in the world. All he talks about is that he's never been caught, never for one minute DENIES taking steroids.

I was never a big Clemens fan to begin with, and I'm notjust saying that because he's been outed. I always thought he came off very fake sometimes. Now Andy Petite, wow, as a Yankee fan, that's very disheartening to hear. When you hear guys like Sheff and Giambi's name, it really doesn't matter because they weren't part of that championship core. I guess it would be akin to a Red Sox fan finding out that uh Pedro was on steorids while with the Red Sox. I'm not saying Andy's Pedro in temrs of his contributions to his former team, but the place the man holds in a lot of Yankee fans' hearts makes this very very hard to take.

Well the words of one disgruntled, washed up pitcher don't mean very much to me, yet. I'm not denying that what Grimsley said was accurate, just that we need some more solid evidence. Grimsley isn't credible enough. For all we know he might have gotten into a big fight with Roger and Andy while they were teammates and when the feds pressured him to give up names he may have just given those two out of spite. Who knows what the circumstances are.

As for the denials, I didn't think Andy's was very convincing. He looked pretty nervous. Clemens looked pretty genuine to me. According to his words, he's doing the smart thing in just letting it boil over, unless it affects him persoanlly or financially.

As of now, Clemens and Pettitte are innocent in my judgement. That could change though.

..Tejada though...no way. 3 strikes and your out. 1) Palmeiro. 2) Canseco's book. 3) Grimsley.

Roberts and Gibbons get the benefit of the doubt...for now. Although I wouldn't be shocked if either of them used.

How can you not be shocked if Roberts used, but be very shocked if Jeter used? Neither of them are big guys...

And for the record, my posts look so weird now that I have that stupid Yankee avatar :(

Size has nothing to do with it. There have been plenty of small guys who have used.

The reason I wouldn't be surprised if Roberts used was because for years he struggled to even maintain a spot on the roster, let alone be the starting second baseman hitting home runs left and right (2005). I'm not saying I think he used, just that I wouldn't be surprised if he did.
