The Cardinals are continuing their monumental collapse as they are losing to Milwaukee 9 to 1 in the fourth inning. The Astros have already won 3 to 0 behind Roy (should have been a Red Sox) Oswalt. If the Cards complete this collapse, it will surpass the Phillies 1964 collapse, or the Blue Jays 1987 collapse.

it really would be nice

i think the dodgers have the best 8 on the field with the mets players having better offense

i think houston has the better pitching

i think st louis blows

i love the padres balance

the mets??

odds on favorites took a hit yesterday with martinez

but i think with orlando hernandez glavine and others they'll still be the team to beat

Brewers have just taken a 2-0 lead over the Cards in the 7th inning. If they lose today, they leave the door wide open for Houston. If the Stros win their last two, even if the Cards win tomorrow, they'll have to play SF on Monday.

Cards get 3 in the bottom of the 8th and hold on to win. They've assured themselves of a tie at least. If they win tomorrow, they win the division. Same thing goes with a 'Stros loss tonight or tomorrow.

figures

the game the stros lost friday was started by raja

He gave up like what 2 runs over 6 innings? Yea he failed to delivered a big game, the Astros offense is the one to blame . They have never given him adequate run support

Real baseball fans would enjoy it' date=' but MLB and the networks would hate it.[/quote']

I read this and instantly agreed with you. Then I thought, what matchup would the networks LOVE?

Yankees/Mets? This was one of the lowest ratings of a World Series in recent memory (2000).

The Dodgers/Yankees maybe?

Honestly I don't know the answer to that question. The Cardinals and Dodgers have long histories but neither one of them is a powerhouse team. The Mets have had the division wrapped up for months but Pedro-less are not that scary. The Padres are seemingly ignored outside of Southern California, and I'm not sure how much attention they get even there.

The Tigers are a nice story, but wouldn't the Astros and Twins be too?

Dodgers and Yankees would get the best TV ratings. Yanks and Mets would attract all of NY but not all of another city, so the ratings would be lower.

I wanna see Twins or A's-Padres.

Actually, any AL team would be cool to see in the WS...except the Yanks.
