Two hard hit ones off Timlin -- thy name is like vomit in my mouth -- to start the inning. One for a hit, one close enough to make a play on. He's become the type of pitcher where he just hopes it's hit at someone because they hit it hard just about every time.

Intangibles. He knows how to win. He doesn't know how to lose. He makes everyone around him better. Did you know if Mariano Rivera played on the Padres, he'd be a middle reliever? Jeter is god.

EDIT: It is a joke. I do not like Jeter. Just to clllleeeeeear the air.

Its amazing how much venom you guys have towards one player.

Switch a few words and add a McClutchenstein or two and you have the Ortiz treatment at NYYFans.com.

You guys and the Jeter PR Machine (aka the NY Press) went after Ortiz in a campaign to make Jeter the MVP, so screw you and the horse you rode in on. I like Ortiz' response to the controversy. Five consecutive times on base. Jeter doesn't compare to Papi as a force in anyone's lineup.

I tend to speak for myself and to be honest I dont really care about Ortiz. I dont make a smart remark everytimes he K's or makes a mistake. I'm a fan of his? No, but I dont post about him all the time which is pretty much whats going on with Jeter these days with certain posters.

You sound constipated with anger and jealousy. Let it all out.

When Ortiz gave you guys the slightest opportunity to say something you jumped all over it.

Fact is, without the MVP debate between the two, the comments aren't likely there. It's just Sox fans pulling for their guy on a Sox forum. Shocker.

Some Sox fans (like your self and some others) are able to have a converstaion regarding the Yankees without going off the deep end. All I'm saying is if your going to pull for your man can you be somewhat intelligent in doing so?

I read the first 6 words of your post, and I basically am saying that you are full of s***. You posted in that "Classy" thread.

Does this have any meaning whatsoever?

What the hell does that mean? I'm not allowed to post in a thread? If you look back I was pointing out how Papi contridicted himself. I didnt go on and on about how hes a fat SOB who doesnt know wtf hes talking about. Or better yet that he has a dildo stuck in his ass.

I don't like the schoolyard stuff. Referencing dildos and sexual orientation aren't called for. The rest of it is wit in response to the hype machine. Considering the place, I don't think it's fair to expect the conversation to be free of that.

But don't say that you don't care about Ortiz. That's BS. When he comes up in a big spot you probably piss yourself. My "dildo" comment was an attempt at humor to start the day. I think a few people probably chuckled. What's with asking if he f***ed my wife? Okay, so don't play holier than thou with me.

The one other thing that gets me is its not just NY that is part of this. I didnt get a chance to read it but I know Bob Ryan of your very own Boston Globe wrote an article about how Jeter is the MVP.

Also saying its hype is also saying that he should really be in the converstion and ORS you know ESP since you look at the metrics that Jeter is certianly a candidate.

You made the dildo comment prior to my comment in the past come on. I guess I was also trying to be humorous since all you do is post about Jeter recently I figured Jeter must have done something to you.

Why should I care what Bob Ryan thinks?

I'm not saying hype in a way to discredit him as a candidate. I referenced it for the Intangibles that seem to follow him no matter where he goes. And, that was what Coco's Disciples was taking a shot at in his post where you commented on the subject. Ortiz gets a lot of Intangible hype too, so I'm not blind to the way the press treats him.

Personally, I don't care who wins. I get no satisfaction out of having an MVP on my team.

I know he gets mocked as Captian Intangibles (Which I think is kinda funny) but that isnt why he is in the running for the MVP this year. I actually agree with you when it comes to the MVP. These days award in general are voted on by moronic sports writers who really dont know what they are talking about. Its hard to take seriously.

EDIT: When I refrenced Ryan I was just pointing out the hype isnt only coming from NY.

i just realized we just beat the yankees with their full lineup and possibly best pitcher with Josh Beckett and a near half asssed lineup
