Just caught this on sports center, a replay showed players/coaches scrambling to get into the hallway where the fight was presumably happening

Didn't Gibbons challenge Shea Hillenbrand to a fight before he was traded?

 

Hope the fight was worth it to Gibbons ... he'll never work in baseball again.

 

If he's still managing this team come tomorrow morning their organization is a joke.

im sorry but gibbons strikes me as a guy that either has lost some of his players, or just doesnt know how to act like a professional manager. he should get fired, even if it was just a couple of bad cancers on the team. still no reason to go around challenging grown men to fights.

Lily showed up his manager on the mound and should be disciplined for that. I'm not sure what happened in the hallway, but if Gibbons can't control himself around his players, he needs to be fired.

When Hillenbrand finally got traded, didn't JP Ricciardi say something to the effect of, "If you can't play for Gibbons you can't play for anyone"? Doesn't sound like the FO is about to fire him.

gibbons was waiting for lilly in the hallway just as he challenged hillebrand to a fight 6 weeks ago

 

is he another ******* who wants to take up a fight career in his 50s?? or is it just another angry manager who's team has horribly underachieved

perhaps the player's arent the problem. the pres of the jays doesn't think that either lily or gibbons need discipline. something is wrong there. porbably gibbons needs a lot of it.
