this is serious ********, what is it 14 walks? 14 walks, and at one point in the game 6 straigt balls. 6. This pitching staff is a big f*** up. This was our f***ing chance to get the division lead. It's our house, it's for the division, and possibly wildcard. But no, the inexperience of these young players, f***s us over.

This could end up being a very bad trade when it is all said and done.

That is where I have to pop in and tell someone to shut up. Shut up. Beckett is 26, he'll be here for four years. He's going to proove a good investment. Don't bag on him yet. In two years if his ERA is never under four then go right ahead. For now, shut up about the Beckett trade being a bust. He has the potential to be an ace. I still think he will be.

If we had Roy Oswalt to start this series, none of this would have happened. Damn you to hell, Theo.* I have a small penis. :(

Fox felt sorry for the Red Sox.

Exactly----may as well give the sox the play of the game considering they are tossing (no pitching pun intended) thier season down the toilet

I won't say the beckett trade was a bust because it's still early and we only gave up prospects...(prospects great, but proven mlb players are better) the problem is beckett has crapped the bed making the NL to AL change. He is young yes, but the FO argument was that he was a proven pitcher with a good career ahead of him. he has done nothing but go downhill so far--let's hope he can turn it around

Give him this year to adjust. He's adjusting at a young age and I believe he'll be an ace. Assess the contract 2 years from now. Young pitchers going from the NL to AL require a bit of patience, and with Beckett, it's something I'm willing to give.

He's a bulldog with a lot of balls. He needs to adjust and he really needs to develop another out pitch like a splitter.

The part about him being a bulldog is right and important, IMO. I like that in a pitcher. As much as I give him a hard time about being Nuke LaLoosh, he got the right mental make up to be an ace. He just needs to grow up and learn how to pitch, and I'd love to see Curt teach him the splitter this offseason.

Tito said post game " That hes a stubborn pitcher" that " we hope that will work out for him down the road"..

I guess thats the theory... that this bull dog will be able to harness his emotions.. we shall see

Manny is the only one who decided to show up this series. Right now this team is a joke. I dont think there done yet bc they have too much talent but they better get there act togther fast. The Bullpen is amess though, they should haev gone after roberto hernandez or anyone.

Boston Globe

Today Van Buren will be sent down again. Its hard to gauge on what he could be able to do up here because he hasnt had the chance to pitch consistently in the majors. He'll probably be back for good for the rest of the season on Sept 1. Lefty Javy Lopez will take his place

Kason Gabbard was scratched from his start in Pawtucket and is set to take the mound against the Angels on Tuesday. Javier Lopez will probably the be the one sent back to Pawtucket

Terry is holding back from his Aug 27 prediction of Wake's return as he is still feeling back stiffness. A side session will be done on Monday to determine if he's ready or not.
