From what I heard it could break 2 ways for the Yankees:

 

Ponson G1 (God I hope not)

Wang G2

RJ

Mussina

Wright

 

OR

They could have Ponson start the game prior to that series and push Lidle to G1 of the DH (Which would make more sense IMO)

 

Lidle G1

Wang G2

RJ

Mussina

Wright.

 

It seems the baseball gods will never give us a Schilling/RJ matchup

I actually think Hughes could handel it if he were to be called up (for one start). However I wouldnt fool around with him.

 

No Hughes. He is a guy who is essentially the jewel of the farm system in front of a "right now" kind of crowd. If the kid comes up and gets pounded against the hated rivals, he will be labelled as a bust after one game. Lets him simmer in the minors and bring him up when necessary next yr.

Thats the thing that annoys me. All fans arent perfect however can they not be stupid? I was hearing Yankee fans label him a bust after a rough outting in the Futures game. Stupid stupid stupid people.

The Saturday and Sunday games are the best pitching matchups for the Yanks series. Beckett and RJ and Schill and Moose. Thank god those are the 2 on national TV!!!!!!:thumbdown

 

Actually (for me) 4 of the 5 will be on national TV. Games 1, 4 and 5 are on either ESPN or ESPN2 and game 3 is on FOX.

Lopez SUCKS.

 

Its not like Beckett's curveball has been perfect the whole night, last couple of curveballs went straight to the dirt. And send a thanks to Lopez because his 2-run double is the difference so far in the game

I just looked at our schedule and realized we play 3 straight series against bad teams till we play the best team in baseball. So far we are 1-3.

 

Anyone else proud? ;)

MDC was warming. But with 3 innings left why couldn’t Snyder be used for long relief?

 

fixed: or at least for 2. Everyone else has been used a lot lately.

Beckett is over 100 pitches. Will we see another outing from Freddy or from Koopa (Rudy reminds me of Koopa from Mario Bros). We'll see.

 

I'd bring Beckett back out for the 7th. If a guy gets on or Beckett gets to 115 then take him out. Need to have guys warming up almost now though.
