You will lose a lot in the field. Nixon is a far superior fielder. I'd actually rather see WMP play a little CF for Crisp if he keeps hitting in the .260's.

 

nixon might be a superior fielder but his bat is pathetic. I'll take my chances with Pena and not get all over him over a few mishaps out there.

he's picking up where he left off- 2 for 3, Double, 2 RBIs, Walk

 

I like the fact he got 2 hits, but the walk and 0 K’s show that he had some discipline at the plate. Nice to have him back.

Nixon still has 44 Rbis, I say give him another 2 weeks to heat up, and then maybe start putting Pena in more

He might be a little worn out. This is the most he has played in 3 years. Giving WMP some time could have the benefit of recharging Nixon.

Don't get me wrong ... I want WMP to get playing time ... I just dont understand how someone can say a player has a pathetic bat when he his BA is over .300 and his OBP is over .400.

I think he's just relaying to the power outage Nixon has, longest # of ABs since last HR for a Red Sox starter

I agree. I am not even disturbed by the low HR output; however, he seems a bit worn down right now from the biggest workload he has had in 3 years and the heat. This team needs Nixon's glove and bat big-time, and right now he is still more valuable to the team's fortunes than WMP.

Good to see the Sox get this nice 4 game winning streak after Oakland took 3 out of 4. Especially because the next 2 games I have my fingers crossed

These games are likely locks for the Mariners. We have to hope the Yankees lose a few.
