There are three that stand out for me in the first half.

April 17, Patriots Day walkoff HR by Loretta.

May 1, Mirabelli's return as Wake goes 7 and gets back to form against NY.

June 29, Schilling against Glavine, Coco's catch and a sweep of the Mets.

That was the best one IMO as the Sox played a textbook game.

June 29th against the Mets the best I think

But the first two saves from Papelbon, on April 7 and 8th in Baltimore, especially the first one on the cold wet night that Schill started. It was a masterful performance from the Schill and even better by Paps, absolutely brilliant. Paps popped the ball out of Tek's glove three times in the ninth, he was blazing. It was the first of the trend this year showing that we do not have to hit tons of homers to win.

On a bad note: Coco also got injured trying to steal 2nd and 3rd on consecutive pitches, but Paps' emergence was great.

Didnt Papelbon's first save come against Texas during Beckett's first start of the season?

It turned out to be a pitchers duel and it was decided by a 2-run HR in the 6th inning by Trot that gave them the 2-1 lead.

Yup you’re correct.

Except Trot's HR was in the 7th.

I don't know if you guys remember this, but on July 9th 2006 the Red Sox lost to the White Sox in 19 innings. That sucked.

yeah, my bad, I thought Baltimore was his coming out party though, he saved two games in two days and was dominant

orTIZ'S WALKOFF AGAINST PHILLIES (I WAS THERE)

Santana vs. Schilling. (Hell of a game even though we lost and tavarez blew it)

Curt getting win #200. That curtain call after the game, still packed, for Schilling just gave me goosebumps

Now towards the 2nd half, Red Sox Nation awaits for his 3,000th punch out. IMO he is just 53 away

Hehe, don't get upset, but.....is it your 'opinion' that he's 53 away, or is he really 53 away?

I'm aware of that. It was worded funny and made me laugh, so I asked a rhetorical question.

June 10 not sure of the exact date. Ortiz's walkoff vs Texas. First game I've ever been to with a walkoff HR.

That's my pick. It was the most exciting game that I have seen in person since Ortiz walkoff homer on Easter Sunday 2004.
