Its not like Kapler has completely been tearing up. He is 0 for his last 12, and 2-16 since the Break. Hoping tonights lineup features Wily Mo. Who knows with Tito and how he can sometimes use that loyalty to past players card, albeit with Kapler being 7 for 25 against Zito. If Theo & the Sox believe Wily Mo is the next right fielder then give him the playing time he was promised

I think in the Wily Mo vs Kapler scene, Francona knows that Pena is a brutal rightfielder and may be afraid of putting him that spacious Oakland outfield for fear he might butcher some balls. I would chance it because Kapler is in a bad slump and we can use all the hitting we need in this coming series against the A's and the next one against my wife's Angels. Why did we get Pena for if we are not at least going to give him a shot at playing against lefthanders?:o ;) B)

I just thought I'd bring up the topic of Nixon's future. His contract is up at the end of this year? What's a ballpark estimate of how much he's worth/will be given. I have a feeling we won't sign him to justify the Arroyo/Pena trade. I really love Nixon and I hope his solid ways and softspoken ways have carried some weight in his 10 or so years here. However, I have a feeling management will do the same as they did with Nomar/Pedro/Damon etc. Thoughts?

Hey everyone first of all I'm a new here, a long time SOx Fan, displaced in New York State in Sunny Buffalo. Trot Nixon without a doubt is one more popular sox on this team however, I think that there is a tendancy to want to hold on to the past. I love Trot Nixon, but no one can deny that he has had injury problems along with problems in the offensive department. The money he will demand will probably be a bit out of what Theo wants to pay and I think if we can get a trade that would bring in a fith starter to help clinch the AL East, I'd say do it. You have WIlly Mo waiting in the wings. Trot has been great but it may be time, just like it was with Millar and Mueller to move on.

Thanks again for having a great site, I will be posting often.
