Why was Beam in there to begin with? Torre has a tendency to try and get by without using his good pitchers. THEN when he gets into trouble he ends up using them anyway. s*** make up your mind. Do they have a day off or not?

Because Smith is essentially another AAAA pitcher.

 

Cox isn't going to be dominant, but he could be a middle relief type. Not now, though.

Smith when he was up here pitched well. Certainly better then Beam. Cox is currently working on a 28 inning scoreless streak in AA. (Or something like that)
