I hated that last at-bat in the 7th' date=' I think Josh Paul, the guy who walked. He throws 2 strikes, then promptly gets the hitter back in the at bat by throwing 3 s***** pitches that a dyslexic monkey would not have swung at, then walks him.[/quote']Please, we refer to them as specially abled.

The Red Sox need to trade for Kazmir and then just plop him on the bench for the rest of the season. Anything to keep him from beating us.

Hard not to like Kazmir.

He's pitched against us so much, you might say we've taught him how to pitch.

How about Tek lay off Kazmir's slider for once.

Especially with a 2-1 count and the tying run on deck?

i do have big respect for kazmir, but at same time I see Sox not being able to put themselves another game above the Yankees. Which comes at a rarity, the Sox had a 12 game win streak but only advanced 3.5 games

Sox will get Fossum next who is also starting to be another tough lefty on the Sox. Hopefully Schilling wont be the 2nd tough luck loser of this series

Kazmir had tek's # tonight. Did he make any contact at all. I don't remember much in the way of foul balls.

Kazmir was awesome. He showed two cracks tonight, the at bat by Loretta in the 8th was horse manure and Tek's in the 9th was chicken manure. At that point you need baserunners and, unless you've got two strikes, you gotta be patient.

It's very difficult to be patient when you can't recognize the slider out of his hand. If you let him get to two strikes, he'll put you away with the slider. The only chance they had was trying to get a hittable pitch early in the count.

I agree with that approach EXCEPT for those two at bats. Loretta followed a four pitch walk to Youk by offering at two pitches out of the strikezone. Tek, well, Tek was out before he stepped in the box.

Check your stats again when the sox started their 12 game win streak they were one game behind the yankees. 2 weeks later they were 4 up, thats a 5 game swing.

The good news tonight is that the Yankees have been shut down by a rookie for his first ML win.

Thuuuuhhhhh Yankees lose! Thuuuhhhh Yankees lose!
