I'm not sure how you figure the Sox are going to come up with two decently valuable guys from inside their division, especially not when we are gunhoe on Lester Hansen and maybe Clemens

David Wells left today's game against the Devil Rays after being hit on the right knee with a line drive.

Wells was making just his second start of the season and first since coming off the disabled list after undergoing surgery on his right knee. The liner appeared to hit that same right knee, and he immediately hit the ground in pain. One can hope it's just a bad bruise, but this might be bad.
