hes been lights out ever since his slow begining.

Anyone else think that down the line, he could close and Papelbon can move into the rotation?

Timlin since April 23rd, has let up 5 hits, 0 runs, 10 K's, 2 BB, 11.2 IP in 11 games

If you remove one of the well-functioning parts of the bullpen, it will stress the other guys, and before you know it the performances start to fall off one by one, and the pen becomes a weakness. When the 2004 Sox lost Scott Williamson, there was a snowball effect, and everyone started to under-perform. They did not get back on track for a good part of the season.

This thread is as good as any to vent about this, here goes.......

f*** YOU ERIC BYRNES!

He just took out McCann (on my fantasy team) at home, and McCann is hurt (likely for a bit of time).

Brian McCann left Saturday's game in the fourth inning with an apparent left ankle injury.

McCann was bowled over by Eric Byrnes on a collision at home plate and apparently suffered a pretty severe ankle injury. He wasn't putting any weight on the leg as he was helped off. Todd Pratt took over. If McCann needs to go on the DL, the Braves are in a lot of trouble, especially since both Brayan Pena and Jarrod Saltalamacchia have struggled mightily in the minors. Pratt is no longer capable of catching more than a couple of times per week, so the Braves may have to go out and look for for help. May. 20 - 10:34 pm et

that sucks, ive had hardly any injuries on my team.

wasn't exactly crucial' date=' as we won.[/quote']

It was crucial enough where it hurt the sox fielding percentage and made the game alot closer.

who knows, that error might have changed the momentum of Beckett going strong to try and finish the 8th inning. As for the HR, it wasnt a meatball of a pitch Beckett had thrown. It was a cutter that was down and away, Howard just put a "Vladimir" type swing on it.

I heard Gordon Edes say even if there are no trade suitors, the Sox could very well place him on waivers. He just signed a 1 season deal so lets just do whats best for both sides. JT can find playing time somewhere else and Choi can be called up to Fenway.

well, those phillies really are in a phunk...

 Wow. You'll try anything, won't you? You can't just admit that we won. Anything you can find just to try and take away from the win. Just wow.
