Beckett has pitched in the 8th inning twice this year. He finished the inning neither time and gave up 3 runs both times. He has allowed 3 HR in less than one inning of work after the 7th.

 

This needs to be the header of Tito's roster sheets on days Josh pitches.

with Tavarez as our #4 reliever...we have a damn solid bullie. This guy gives implodes once in awhile...but his sinker really is a devastating pitch. When Both he and Timlin have the good sink going..they are grounball inducing machines. I really like our pen alot.

Mike Gonzalez just struck out the side in order to end the Cleveland/Pittsburgh game, Bucs win 9-6, Jason Bay hit two homers, a three run shot and a solo.

Good game from JB. This won't go down as a QS (unless they do it by ER not R), but it should. That makes 3 in a row against three teams that can score some runs and in 3 HR friendly ballparks. Just stay healthy, kid.
