Rain Wins*.

*If this turns into an actual game, I'll update the thread. Damn you Mother Nature. DAMN YOU TO HELL!!

Haha, it poured all yesterday and all night, and still is right now. My backyard is like a gigantic puddle, and the roads have a nice covering of water. The roads have huge puddles everywhere. I love going through them and making huge splashes. Hopefully the rain will slow down by later on this afternoon because I am going to play tennis with a friend and dont feel like driving up route 3 for 45 minutes in the pouring rain so I can barely see through my windshield. I tried driving on the highway yesterday, only for a few exits so me and my friends could go to subway, and it was absolutely terrible. Even with my wipers on the fastest setting I could barely see through the windshield.

f*** rain.

What is with this MLB schedule?

This week they have Thursday off.. I demand that my idea of all MLB teams having Mondays off ( for makeups) get some attention..

Or not..

If that dopler pic is updated... It looks like the storm , is blowing out...

Of course the field is probably SOAKED.. so it doesnt matter I guess.

It could make the next Rangers/Sox series into a 5 game set or they could end up finding a free day for both teams, as we saw Bo Sox & Chi Sox do last September

Posted
Both games will be made up when the Rangers come back in June. 5 games in 3 days. Likely the Sox will have to call up 2 pitchers for that series to start. Lester and Alvarez are the 2 likely candidates.

Im pretty sure it wont have to be made up, in September. The Sox should have a decent lead over the WC winning Blue Jays by then and the playoff spots should be set.

aww poor Baltimore, get ready for a good possibility of being beaten by the Sox in a 14-0 record dating back to last September

Game 1- Beckett vs Lopez (Beckett's streak of bad luck outings seems over for now and Lopez hasnt been lights out against Boston the past couple of seasons)

Game 2- Schilling vs Chen (Schill will bounce back, Chen seems overmatched in this one)

Game 3- Wakefield vs Bedard (Wake has had his success, especially at Camden Yards--Bedard is a lefty the Sox love to face)

Posted
Wasn't Chen removed from the Orioles rotation? I could have sworn they just removed him from it.

didnt realize, was just going from today's ex-game preview that showed the matchups of Boston's next 3 games. I hope Benson is in the series now against Boston

Posted
you guys are going to have a huge bullpen tax in that series. You will have just come off 3 against surging detroit and 4 in NY (who will have Sheff back by then). Then you will have to face the heavy hitting rangers for 5 games in 3 days? 12 games in 10 days against the #2,6,and 7 OPS teams in the majors. That is gonna be a big stretch....

Fans should hold their tickets for Sunday's game pending an announcement by the Red Sox on a make-up date. The game will either be made up during the Rangers next trip to Boston in June or on a mutually agreeable open date later in the season, possibly July 20.

The Red Sox have already announced that Saturday's rainout will be rescheduled as part of a day-night doubleheader on a date to be determined during the Rangers next trip to Boston, which takes place the weekend of June 9-11. Tickets for Saturday's game will be honored when that make-up game is played in June.
