What would you do if you caught Bonds' 715th homerun?

Would you keep it or throw it back?

I would keep it, get a sharpie, then write 715* on it; give it back to Bonds and see him smile. :harhar:

id keep it ,if he wants it that much he can buy it off me  or put it to auction ,but then again i dont think someone would pay that much considering it isnt technicaly the record. who knows

probably get a lawyer to fend off the inevitable lawsuit.

not sure though. I'd like to say I would throw it back to make a statement about how much I hate what he has done to the game. But selling the ball would really make things easier for me financially. I could send my future kids to college and buy a house. If I was rich, I'd throw it back, but in the spot I'm in now, I honestly would not know. Baseball has been my favorite sport since I was a kid.

Id look around and murmur in stunned shock...'what the hell am I doing in San Fransisco'?

lol

I'd blow it up and turn it into soup....of wait, someone already did that...I'd just sell it then

I'd realize that it's basically a completely meaningless milestone.

i wouldnt say completly, but i agree with you still. if he is tying or breaking aaron's record, thats a different story, but babe still isnt the leader.

It's a big deal because Babe Ruth is the ultimate icon in baseball history. If you said to name a legend of baseball, it would be Babe Ruth. Some people don't even know that Hank Aaron actually holds the record. It's because he's about to pass Babe friggin' Ruth. That's why it's a big deal. I agree though, it shouldn't be. You celebrate new records, not passing former ones.

Sell it. Who gives two shits if he cheated? It's goiod money and it doesn't have to change your opinion of him to sell it.

anyone who didn't say "sell it" is a liar....

you catch something like that and you would sell it for as much as you could, even if it'll be worth more in the future (because there is a chance it won't be).. if i caught it and got 50k for it i would sell it in a heart beat.

i'm shoulder deep in loans and that would help so much.

I'd grab it, I'd make sure that someone in authority knew I had the valid ball, then I'd extort as much as possible from whomever I could.

And if I caught 756 I'd do the same thing because personally I don't give a rat's ass who has the most hr's, who has the most RBI's, who has the most of this and that.

Actually I would be all around press to make sure peopleknew that it was me thhat had it, bring it home, burn it in the privacy of my own home, and then sell the fould ball I got last year during a game calling it the home run ball.

They mark the balls so that they can retreive them and negotiate a deal with the fan who caught it. I, normally am the type of person who holds onto things. I dont sell things of value, I keep them because I enjoy them. However, I would take a picture with the ball and then milk that ball for everything it's worth. I'd get a bunch of autographed s***, try to get season tickets (provided I lived in SF), just a bunch of cray stuff.

And in addition to the autographed stuff and season tickets I would definately have to get a nice chunk of cash thrown on tip of it. Otherwise to the highest bidder it goes.

I would tell my ugly girlfriend to hit the road and go back to her old boyfriend The Rivernator..

I would then sell the ball on E-Bay.

I'm married. She'll have to go to coco's disciples....
