Haha, Riv, I am not bailing you out on this one. This is deserved. The yankees look lost up there. Besides Johnson, Jeter, Sheff, A-Rod, Damon, Mo, and Giambi, you really suck. You should be worried. Haha.

 

I feel weird celebrating so early, but I know I'm actually not. For the record I do recognize this month as may, which is not september or october. Its just that its so funny to listen to some of you scammer to eat your words since you've been talking about all the 'holes' the red sox have and exaggerating weaknesses for weeks now. This is too good to pass up. I'm going to watch that ninth inning again and re-activate the papelboner. That three pitch K to that A-rod guy was quite the feat.

Beckett is going to come tomorrow throwing fire and sitting down yanks before they have a chance to stand. once the sox's batters break chacon and get to the yankee bullpen, especially the middle relief, it's going to be a feast. then it will be time to pop a papleboner and boom! game over. eventhough it is may, any win against the yankees is big because it could mean so much at the end of the season. does last season ring a bell?

On a side note, that HR papi hit was an absolute bomb!! With that wind blowing in like that it was amazing!!! If the conditions were normal, it very well could have been the longest HR in fenway history!

nah, I was in bed man. Look at the time, I have a job to get to this am. BTW, Bosoxgirl, calling me ignorant is not the best way to go about things. Saying that I don't listen or whatever does not equate with intelligence level. Now, I have to throw you under the bus, well, you LOOK like you already have been so I'll lay off.

 

It was one game, and if you look at my post, I predicted a split. Unfortunately, what I thought would happen would be that we would take last night. Also, I never took into account our managers who seem to find wonderful ways to ruin our games. Seriously, I was dumbfounded that Sturtze was brought into that game. Completely dumbfounded. And I still am. Our bullpen has been amazing so far this yr, and Small coming back helped. He looked good last night, but all went for naught when Sturtze entered the game. I am never a believer in the predetermined outcome, so I freeze the game at 3-3 Loretta up, and Sturtze comes in. The dynamic of the game changed right then and there. If Proctor is brought in and he gets Loretta to K or bounce into a DP, Ortiz gets pitched to differently.

 

Well, I'm not eating my words, because I actually predicted a split and that is still a good chance of happening. I just hope Cashman takes control and DFA's sturtze so we cannot use him again. Seriously, if you guys brought in Seanez instead of Timlin last night, would you have been angry. Sturtze is our equivalent.

 

Oh well, one game and there are a lot of positives for us. You guys couldnt hit aside from Ortiz and Manny (5 for 26). Wang didnt have nearly his best stuff, but gave us 5 gutty innings. Small looked very sharp, but his stamina is a problem. Our offense actually made solid contact off wakey the entire night, something we didnt do very well in recent history, the ball just didnt fall in and Boston's D certainly has improved. And last, but certainly not least, our manager gave the game away. You should all sned thank you letters to Torre. Have a good day all. And Bosoxgirl, how's the 4th grade treating you?

All of the players in our lineup are professionals. Are they struggling with guys on base?? Absolutly and it drives me crazy but I also know things change in baseball. Sooner or later these guys will start getting the hits they need. I will guarantee Mark Loretta will hit better by the end of the season. Willy Mo has been making better contact, Youkilis continues to get on base, Lowell-Tek-Trot all come through with hits....

 

Its like me saying...Hideki Matsui and Alex Rodrigues are chumps becuase they are batting in the .240-.260 range. Catching my drift Rivernator?? Or are you going to continue to be ignorant.

I won't even get into it. I think everyone here scratches their head and wonders what the hell you are thinking but they shrug it off because of your gender. You have to bring it with the big boys girl or you won't make it in my book.

 

Also, calling someone out as ignorant without an opening offensive is just downright dumb, especially when the person you are calling ignorant is not all that ignorant. Use a different word. He is disregarding, bull-headed, one-way, etc. Ignorant isnt the right word and may spark a little angst.
