Why Dont MLB Players Support The Boycott

Im venezuelan my grandmotherand other family members an immigrant so i support it. but ive been watching CNN MSNBC and they talking about o we should arrest all immigrants send them back to their countrys. so if u do that i guess we should send 80% percent of mlb-minor league players right? (johan santana,pujols,vlad,bartolo,cabera, and other great players) and if this happen i bet all the people that opposed the boycott would changed their mind say o no stay please! wut i trying to say is mlb should support the boycott that would b a big impact.

Not sure this is the place for this discussion. However with that said, you need to distinguish between immigrants and illegal aliens. If someone is an immigrant, then there is no sending them back to thier country--becuase this is now their country. I think the big hoopla is over all the people that have come into this country illegally and are now going to protest. All americans in this country came from somewhere else at one point (well their family, but you get my drift) ---the only problem i see is the people that come into our country illegally. If you want to come to america--great; but do it the right way!

At least try and get your argument strait. Baseball players are all here legally (at least to my knowledge). They are either citizenzs or are here on visa's ect.... We are not talking about people like that (there are also a lot of college students studying here). I am speaking of illegal's who are here illegally!

May 1st (today) many immigrants are planning a boycott of stores and jobs in order to show the impact they have on society. I support and understand their cause. But the MLB is different. These guy's arent washing dishes for minimum wage when no one else wants to do it. They're making MILLIONS of dollars. Boycotting baseball would be hypocritical and child like.

He's referring to a "boycott" by some Latin Americans ( mostly Brazilians ) in the Boston area. They have refused to report to work, over the pending imigration law. This, however has nothing to due with MLB. Foreign players are here legally on work visas., etc. Furthermore, this a political discussion that doesn't belong here.

I am all for the melting pot, come on over. Just do it legally.

I work with many LEGAL immigrants from India and Africa and they have gone through the hassle of doing it the right way. It isnt fair to them, and it isnt fair to our economy. Seriously, I'd rather they find out who all the illegals are and ship them back to their true homes and give their jobs to those unemployed americans who need them.
