if you were at tommorows game, Yankees At Red Sox. First time, Jonny Demon is in a Yankee uniform.

two posibilities

Boo- "It would be fine if he went to another team but the YANKEES. such a traitor"

Cheer-"Sure he is a yankee but that doesn't mean we apreciate what he has done here in boston. he was such a character"

BOO him. If a player swears allegiance with one team one year, then jumps to the enemy the next then he's ultimately a TRAITOR.

Don't do anything. Just act like he is a player from another team. That's the worst that could happen to him. Just have fans ignore him
I think you are on to something here. Silence would kill him. I am sure not too many people have considered this greeting. You should call WEEI and get the word out. It would be really funny if there was just stone silence.

I was thinking about his post some more, and I actually think the silent treatment would be killer. I know the YES announcers would have a lot to say about it, especially Michael Kay who has boners over ex-Red Sox players joining the Yankees. However, how realistic is it to say you can reach out to the 35,000+ who will be in attendance at tomorrow nights game and convince them that this reaction would be the ultimate payback? Apathy kills.

Yeah I agree with that. He is expecting the boos, and we would be surprised by that.

I was thinking of the silent treatment. Too bad it won't happen. There will always be one idiot who will ruin it even if it was about to work. Just boo him. Let our hatred for him more apparent.

However, the silent treatment would be preferred. Absolute silence during his whole at bat.

The people who come in drunk will be the ones who ruin the silence.

The YES Network seems to be a bit obsessed over this series. They don't even bother recaping todays game, they're just like "SOX-YANKS JOHNNY DAMON JOHNNY DAMON! SEE YOU TOMORROW NIGHT! OR YOU CAN WATCH OUR OVERHEAD VIEW TELECAST OF OUR PRODUCTION TRUCKS HEADING TO BOSTON!"

David Justice: Uhhh I'm a blabbing moron.

I dont really blame him, the Yankees offered 12mil more for the same amount of years. I dont appreciate all his anti-yankee comments last year and then signing with them though. If I was going to the game I wouldnt cheer or boo, so stay silent lol.

Oh please. No Boston Red Sox fan has any right to say anything like that based on how much attention NESN and guys like Tom Caron pay to the Yankees. The Yankees get about as much coverage on NESN as the Red Sox, its ridiculous.

..and I personally think Justice does a pretty good job.

...this gets nothing from you guys?

Doesn't Fenway have a ban on certain negative shirts? I imagine more than a few people will be turned away for their outfits tomorrow.

But you're not, so shut the f*** up.

Exactly. Yankee fans seem quite content to jump on Red Sox fans for ragging on Damon. Sure, the guy helped us win a world series. But now he's a bitch. End of story.

You should appreciate him for what he did which is to give you guys a world series. Look at the offense without him, not very good. If damon went from the yankees to the red sox after helping us win a world series, I would cheer him still initally. He comes up to the batters box and gets a hit and steals a base on the other hand, then I would boo him.

What I'm saying is cheer him when he's announced, let him have it when he's announced to start the game. It might seem like splitting hairs, but it's actually very different.

You are right. Upon announcement and upon lining up at the 3rd base line which they likely will do, you cheer the man for being one of the biggest assets to your 2004 team. Once he steps into the batter's box, he is just another yankee and boo away....

But he didn't, so shut the f*** up.

lol yea emprie, your fans have alreay spoken for your view on players switchin to sox jerey's, look at Wells, and he ah plenty more histroy with the yanks then Johnny does with the Sox.

The silent treatment wold be fantastic. I mean like the whole AB, just utter silence, then no matter the outcome just go back toyour regular boos for the otehr players.

there's also David Cone, a former Yankee starting pitcher who was with NY for all World Series champs in the 90s... After 2000, he signed with the Red Sox... I still remember Yankee fans ripping him, let alone he was one of their best starters through that dynasty run.

He was not ripped by us, and in fact was cheered heartily on his return to Yankee stadium. He was only ripped on the blogs because he was done and was terrible. I mean the guy lost 14 games and had an era close to 6 the yr before. We loved Coney.

What about Wells? I didn't hear many cheers on Opening Night of last year, and he was certainly a significant part throughout the dynasty era.
