Why the hell wouldn't we pinch hit Loretta in that situation? We need a guy to get on base for Papi to be the winning run. Loretta has had 3/4 of the day off, but there are ducks on the pond and its late in the game. That non-move pisses me off. I also just don't get why all the "scrubs" are playing today.

It was my impression that our approach this year was to try everything we could to win every game, even early in the season. It's pathetic that we would intentionally field a spring training split-squad team on the field. Just pathetic.

Our offense this year isn't going to be like this. This is a terrible f***ing lineup. It seems like Terry always wants to give guys days off. Our offense will be more than respectable this year, but this is ridiculous.

Snow, Pena, Bard in the 9th. I'll bet that Tito decides to keep his regulars fresh and doesnt call anyone to pinch hit

If he does he should be ripped for it. Every game is important and if he does that its like he is throwing away a game.

absolutely no excuse for that lineup, in a day where Varitek has the day off, Crisp and Nixon are hurt, you dont also give Loretta AND Lowell the day off and insert a bunch of bench players. Wakes about to get a complete game but it wont matter cause of this crappy lineup that couldnt score even with no outs and the bases loaded.

Well I'm positive Varitek will PH for Bard. Lowell should PH for Snow as Guardado is a lefty. I would keep Pena in there as I think he's a better option than Mohr. We'll see what happens though.

Pinch hit Snow for Loretta, let Pena bat, pinch hit Varitek then Lowell if we get that far, one AB isnt going to kill their day of rest.

Lost in the atrocious offensive performance is the excellent outing by Wakefield today. He had 1 bad inning which could have gone differently if Bard had caught that strikeout and not allowed that passed ball. 78 out of 104 strikes is stellar though.

I like Tina, the field reporter.

I think she has a really annoying voice though. Women in sports reporting really doesn't do it for me. Not being sexist or anything but often I have the feel that they don't know much about what they're talking about. The football sideline reporters would be the exception to that.

Wake has been great, no one is allowed to say we only have two starters anymore. Sure he hits his bad patches, but Wake is a rock. Tito really let him down this afternoon.
